It was my understanding that you could read the data available on your car all you want, but that didn’t trigger a refresh. You just saw whatever the last update was. This seems to indicate that when you pole the API it triggers a refresh of the data.
That's not clear to me either. It doesn't refresh every time you check but perhaps it still triggers more refreshes than would otherwise occur and can prevent sleep under specific circumstances.

The refreshing seems to work differently for different people. Several have reported that requesting a refresh from the widget does indeed wake up the car to refresh its data. But that has never worked for me. Nothing I do in the widget or FordPass will wake up the car to refresh its data EXCEPT if I change a charging setting.

Everything on the widget works fine for me except “View All Data”. I press it and nothing happens, I have latest version. Is this a bug?

I’ve even tried going to Diagnostjcs and copy all data and it doesn’t copy anything.

That should be working. Are you receiving any errors when you exit out of the dashboard?

Oh yeah, my vehicle is one that Ford doesn’t have an image for on their server, so I always get an error about no vehicle image. That’s the only error though.

View All Data and View Module Info have never worked for me.

Only error I can get to show is when I tap on View All Data, no errors with View Module Info, the “Get Data” button does nothing when I tap it.

Lol... So the widget sent the notification?
I'm working on some bugs right now I will add checks for the errors you are seeing on the view data page.

Yeah, the update pending message showed up on the dashboard. I think since this update was a special one targeting certain vehicles it didn’t have any release notes so maybe why that error is there.

Turn your car on or drive it and it will install.

2.7.2 requires the car to be turned off to install.
You are right. You turn it in to actually download the update and then once the car is turned off it will install. I got it backwards.
