Do we know when this was an installed feature, where the cutoff is? I have to say that I am not sure how our 22's headlights behave.
Works on Job 2 2021 and later "signature" headlights (Premium/GT trims). No data from Job 1 2021 yet. I did it on mine.

Asking the smarter folks in the room. I tried to follow this on my 2021 job 2 GT. And I got a checksum error. Does anyone see what I did wrong here?

The error I received. Maybe I’m supposed to acknowledge the error and write it anyway. But I’m being a chicken?. First time I’ve messed with Forscan at all and I’m terrified.
I suggest you write down what your original configuration line was, and then go ahead and "continue anyway". The checksum simply alerts you that at least one value in the line had been changed... it is the safety check if you will before writing the new configuration parameters.

As long as you have the original configuration line values written down, you can pretty much revert to them on the next WRITE session if you so choose.

I mean at what point in 2022 was it standard from the factory? Or wasn't it?

Edit:

Checked my As Built this morning, and my January 2022 - March 2022 produced car doesn't have it enabled, so I'll get to it soon.

Thanks
I will be trying it one week from today (16th) on my '21 Job 1 Premium I sold to a friend. If no one else tries it first, I will post back next week.

I have a 21 GTPE job 2 car and it works. Just click yes and write it, then enjoy!

I just made the changes on my Job 1. Is there a way to test it with the stalk or does it only ramp when the high beams are engaged automatically while driving?

Yes, turning them on manually with the stalk (pushing it forward), they will fade on/ramp up. They will not do it when you use the stalk to flash your high beams (pulling it forward).

Then I guess it doesn't work on a Job 1. Pushing the stalk forward still engages the high beams instantly with no ramp up. I guess we can lump this in with the power meter that doesn't work on Job 1 cars. Bummer.

Interesting, I'm guessing the HCM is different on Job 1 cars?

Well then, I will be checking out the HCM for a Job 1 and Job 2 today when I get a bit of time and report back. The LED control module inside the headlamp assembly might also be different I guess.

The Engineering Assembly P/N and Software are both different for the HCM. My Job 1 has LJ8B-13C148-AD and ML34-14D063-AD respectively. I just checked a Job 2, and it has AE versions of both.

My GT doesn’t fade with the stalk. But does with automatic high/low. I had to go drive around last night to confirm that it worked. At soon as I hit the magic 37MPH, they faded up to high beams.

Interesting. Perhaps all hope isn't lost then. I guess I'll have to wait until it's dark to be able to test it.

Yes, I was just thinking you are probably testing this without driving and during the day. You need to be driving above around 30 mph (not exactly sure as it seems to vary for me) and has to be dark.
