Thanks for maintaining this topic.

FORScan newb looking for advice to get started. Is wired adapter best for purely FORScan use vs a BT adapter?

Does anyone use the Android FORScan Lite App? Wondering if it is worth upgrading my bare bones BT OBD scanner to one that works with FORScan.

TIA.
It depends.

If you might ever get into using FDRS to keep you car's modules updated, then consider a Mongoose Pro+ cable. That cable is the cheapest reliable method to use FDRS, while also working well with ForScan.

If you can predict the future and know you'll just stay with ForScan, which allows changing of existing settings without updating module software, then go with a good OBDII reader like OBD MX.

BTW, I happen to have an extra OBD MX dongle. You are welcome to it for the cost of shipping. Just DM me.

I probably didn't need 2.3.51, but needed to rescan the modules because my existing profile didn't have all of them, because it was from last summer, whatever version that was.
So on a recent trip, I verified it worked. Nice feature, but also not really that big a deal.

Does anyone know how Magneride can be programmed to be a more compliant ride when in Whisper? I am fine with the ride in engage and unbridled for more spirited driving but it would be nice if Whisper gave the car a bit more of a smoother ride in terms of comfort. The differences between the three modes is very minimal on a GTPE. I think the three modes should be much more distinct in the suspension as it is to steering and accelerator pedal.

I wish. I think @markboris reached out to the company that made MagneRide controllers for Mustangs and they said they had no plans of making one for the MME since it is totally different or something and would have to be a ground up development.

I would love to make whisper smoother, I'm in complete agreement that I barley notice suspension adjustments across the three modes - obviously steering, acceleration, and 1PD braking are very noticeable.

Neil is correct. I've reached out to DSC Sport who makes magneride controllers for many different cars. I have one on the GT500 and had one on the Focus RS. You can customize each drive mode as you want. I took out my VDM module and sent them photos along with ones of the connectors and a wiring diagram. This was a year and a half ago and also again last month and they still have no interest in designing one for the Mach-E. I am waiting for the VDM to show up in FORScan for the Mach-E. It does show up in the Lightning so hopefully we will get it for our cars. Not sure I can do anything if it does but I am going to try.

Is 1PD different between modes?

On magnaride equipped “performance editions” it is, though not as much as many folks would like.

Interesting. I have a 2022 GTPE but I have never noticed any difference in 1PD between modes. Is unbridled more aggressive? How are they different?
