There are no settings or adjustments in FORScan that can change the temperature of the heated steering wheel.

Steve, you are correct in that there is a variable in manufacturing, however that variable is where the steering wheel heater and sensor are placed in the wheel. I mentioned this a year or so ago in another thread that brought up this question.

The sensor (thermistor) in my premium was placed further away from the heater therefore the steering wheel became hotter. The one in my GTPE was closer to the heater so my wheel barely got warm. I actually pulled the steering wheel apart and dug into the area where the sensor was (at the bottom of the wheel) and moved it away from the heater and it now gets much warmer. I was lucky though as sometimes the sensor is buried in the foam part of the wheel and cannot be accessed without damaging part of the wheel. I know this because I've had several custom steering wheels made for the cars and have had it damaged. Also, you cannot remove the sensor because with it out of the circuit, the heater will not come on.

From the service manual:

Heated Steering Wheel:
When the vehicle is on and the SCCM (Steering Column Control Module) receives a request to heat the steering wheel, the SCCM applies voltage and ground to the steering wheel heating elements to heat the steering wheel to a temperature of approximately 82-94°F (28-34°C). The heated steering wheel temperature is maintained by the SCCM using a temperature sensor in the steering wheel. The SCCM is designed to remain on, heating the steering wheel and maintaining the temperature until switched off on the FDIM or the ignition is turned off. The controls and indicators for the heated steering wheel system are located on the FDIM (touchscreen) only. The FDIM does not communicate on any network and is connected directly to the APIM
Oh, I completely forgot about that post (obviously- duh me). ?? Makes sense. Sensor too close to element = element not getting as hot as it would if the sensor was the correct distance from the element. ??

Thanks @LaFong but I mean how to enable the lock honk when the car is parked and not running, now only the lights blink when it locks. Is that honk enabled in US?
That honk is in the main settings, screen, under locks, audible feedback.

Does anyone know if you can enable YouTube? Unfortunately Canadians were not given it.
Thanks

Isn’t that in CarPlay or Android Auto?

Isn’t it under the “entertainment“ tab where the games are locate? USA located vehicles got it with PowerUp 3.5.3.3.
it isn’t in CarPlay.

Yeah, it is for me. CarPlay has YouTube Audio. Is that a general Canadian thing? There was discussion in the Lightning forum of it disappearing in 4.2.1 briefly. It’s not in Forscan I don’t think.

It could be a general Canadian thing, or it could be a dumb me thing. Not entirely sure. Although I was referring to the video streaming part of YouTube. I was hoping to be able to activate it instead of purchasing a MMB. Thanks for the response.

Canadian cars didn't get YouTube. Must be something to do with regulations.

I read somewhere that with the 6.8.0 update the GTs got a gold splash screen to match, I know that there wasnt a forscan option for that. wondering if it came up.

also the enable cameras at speed for the F150s - does it work with the mach e?
looks like similar codes in the spreadsheet

I'm confused by what you are saying about the gold splash screen for the GT's. I had a gold splash screen for my GT when I got it over two years ago. Maybe there is a new gold splash screen? In FORScan in the APIM module under Splash Screen, there is a Mach-E (blue-gray) and Mach-E GT (Gold) splash screen option that has been there for a couple of years. I personally don't use either one as the video is choppy and also takes a bit longer to get to the main display than some of the others. I use the "Stock, determined by Brand parameter" splash screen. I like the look of it better, smoother video and I get to the main screen a little quicker. I posted videos of these splash screens earlier in this thread. #192

About the cameras at speed, about two years ago I set up FORScan to display the rear camera while at any speed but, not the front or the 360˚. I have never tried it since to see if I could get the other cameras to work.

Hey sorry i should be more specific,

On the IPC behind the steering wheel the splash screen is just the blue Mach e one - I have the gold splash screen on the APIM but apparently their was talk about a matching splash screen on the IPC To match. I have a select so maybe it is only available for GTs on the IPC (smaller screen)

Ok, yes the IPC does have a gold splash screen that matches the APIM and not sure what you would need to do to match the two. Haven't looked into that other than I know there are no splash screen options for the IPC like there are for the APIM.

Hmmm... I wouldn't mind learning more about the IPC gold splash screen. I had switched my Premium Synch to the GT Gold splash screen almost a year ago... I find that it loads faster and I just like it better. I guess my Synch screen choices are the opposite of the choices of MarkBoris.
