It takes a while. I got the recall done in January. Just got the gifts two weeks ago. Never got the 30k points though.
How does it work anyway? Am I going to get some mail from Ford?

30k in points should get added to your Ford account, you'll get a package in the mail with the charging pad and a letter with instructions on how to get the $50. There's a couple of options, check, or gift card.

I had the service done in March and received the package middle of May. Got the 30K points before end of March

Yes and you should have by now. Did you ever receive the recall notices in the mail? If so then they have your correct address. If not then I would suspect that may be the issue. I received my points back in Feb even though my work was not performed until March. Received my pad two weeks ago.

Just got done finally with this recall. Took 1 month for parts to come in and took them about 5 days to complete. Rental was not fully covered by ford, only $40 day. And it had to be only ford vehicle for rental which my local enterprise had none. They told me they should be getting one, 1 hour later still waiting there and I finally decided to let them drop me home without one. Not happy with experience at all far as how ford handled recalls.

Is anyone at Ford able to provide an update on the recall and timing to effect repairs at all? my dealer has now had my car for more than 2 months. Last time I spoke to someone at Ford I was told "the recall is on hold" but the customer service rep couldn't even define what that means for when I might get my car back.

Recall on my vehicle completed 4/19. Got 30K points 5 days later. Just received the charging mat and $50 gift card.

Recall 23S56 completed in Jan2024 and I just received my new charging mat and a check for $50. The 30K FP points were received about 6 weeks ago.
The only difference between the old mat (on the left) and the new mat is that the new alignment ribs move the phone forward about 1.5 in.
For those of you not slated to get a new charging mat, some careful work with a sharp razor blade could accomplish the same thing on the old mat. Slice off that middle rib so that the phone sits flush to the mat and slide it forward 1.5 in.
I've not tried to charge my phone yet (Pixel 6 Pro) on the new mat so will update when that happens. With the old mat, the phone just got really hot and the charge level actually decreased when using Maps.

I've not tried to charge my phone yet (Pixel 6 Pro) on the new mat so will update when that happens. With the old mat, the phone just got really hot and the charge level actually decreased when using Maps.
have you or anyone else who received the new mat seen a positive difference? received mine this weekend, tested it today on my iphone 12 pro max and got poor results.. notably, I had the phone wirelessly connected to CarPlay and I was using Apple Maps which seems to use up a lot more power in past experience. it wasn't a particularly "spirited" drive and there were no major bumps so I think we can rule out the phone shifting around.

charged from approximately 2:30pm - 3:30pm before CarPlay stopped that it wasn't charging. 62% -> 67%.
phone was on top of the horizontal ridge, with the bottom of the phone lined up with the bottom of the mat.

repositioned phone upside down so the camera is lined up with the bottom of the mat, phone on top of the horizontal ridge. stopped charging at approx 3:40pm. 67% -> 65%.

repositioned so the bottom of the phone lined up with the horizontal ridge. stopped charging at approx 3:50pm. still 65%.

the phone was slightly warm, but no temperature warning popped up. at this point, I gave up charging with the new mat and removed it to let it cool down.

tried using the old mat again from 5:19pm - 5:25pm. stopped charging at 5:25pm, 56% -> 56%.

stopped using apple maps but continued using CarPlay for music from 5:25pm - 6:07pm, it charged from 56% -> 67%. no temperature warning when I finished my testing for the day, still showing "charging" icon when I looked at the SYNC screen.

the battery section of the phone's settings app does show the multiple charging sessions and they actually show up in orange (slow charging occurred) so I wonder if this is part of the issue.

I had similar results. Little if any improvement. I've given up depending on it and just plug in to charge.

I got the new charging mat and the points added to my account but must have tossed the letter with directions on how to get the $50 gift card or check. Any suggestions for how to track that info down? I’ll try sending a DM to the Ford account and see if tagging them there might work. @Ford Motor Company, any way to get a copy of the letter you sent to me?

If you start a private message string with the Ford motor rep in this forum (his name is Drew), he can hook you up. And/or call the recall concierge team at 833-807-3673, they can get the ball rolling. You might have to provide things like your VIN, and in my case a copy of your RO (repair order) receipt.
