By overload, I mean my Fluke shows OL, when touching neutral or plug ground to the cover plate screw.

It's possible the ground to neutral connection is not correct at the main box (by this I assume you mean the main panel). Sorry, I'm pretty dumb when it comes to electrical stuff.
Fluke overload means you do not have meter set correctly.

Sorry, I should have included my original post, where I hijacked this 240V thread LOL. The Ford mobile charger is giving me an amber light on 115V sockets in my detached garage but gives a blue light on sockets in my back porch (which also measure >120V). I'm trying to diagnose what it doesn't like in the garage
Your garage is improperly wired. Most likely no ground or hot and
neutral backwards on recp.

Thanks. hot and neutral are confirmed correctly wired, but I'm definitely suspicious of the ground back to the panel. I'll need to get an electrician to check that.

If I can, I would like to "unhijack" this thread and get back to the original topic... I live in Illinois served by ComEd with my car not taking a charge from the 14-50 outlet I had installed. Is there anyone monitoring this thread who has gotten an ETA on when a software update will arrive that will let my car charge at level 2 speeds? Charging on 110V is for the birds.

my post yesterday, I’m in the same boat for 6 weeks now:

Just had my car checked by a Ford engineer at my dealership, here is the message I received from the service department:
Unfortunately, we know what the problem is, but Ford has to build an over the air update program and then your problem will be solved. This is in the process, but not ready as of yet. Should have a better idea later part of next week as to exactly when this can be done.

Can't charge at all on 240V or can't charge on weekends with 240V?

It charged on 240V for a few hours last Thursday (roughly 1 pm until 4 pm when I took it off to drive) I presume I was lucky to have caught the grid running with the car's allowed range then. No luck overnights or any other daytime hours I have tried, including today, Saturday.

That is a bummer and worse to deal with than my current problem. I thought it was just weekends this problem was showing up in your state.

There is no reason there should not be a fix on this yet. All of you guys affected should press ford to waive payments for the number of months you had the car until the fix - this is a serious fault in basic operation of the vehicle.

Oh, I would love nothing more than to hold off on payments until this is resolved, but unfortunately I took out a note from a bank that gave the dealership payment in full for the vehicle. Seven weeks and counting now since I took delivery. I agree that there should be a fix, but tweets to Jim Farley and Emma Bergg have been overlooked or ignored. They're very lucky I love the car and know it charges in my eventual home in Tennessee, or else I'd be done with it. For now I'll live with 120V charging at home while I'm not commuting and continue to await a solution, albeit impatiently.

After visiting the dealer on Friday testing my mobile charger and their new 240 V circuit with a 14-50 adapter, I came back home and called Ford customer relations and opened a case. I know that other members here have done so as well, but not everyone who is experiencing the issue right now. In order to get attention at corporate for our collective situation, it makes sense for everyone to open a case and reference our other case numbers to achieve a snowball effect and get Ford to deliver a resolution to us sooner.

Agree and it is a bit of a hassle when you buy something for its ability to just plug it in and walk away and it is nothing like that. Different problems but same out come. I am an odd ball and thinking faulty hardware at this stage (GPS?) as no one else has a problem with the scheduling software . My 50 buck thermostat has no problems with a schedule and no need to phone anyone during it. I am also 7 weeks and counting. Never worked and still doesn't.

I told my dealer and having to jump hoops to be recognized that you have no ability to home charge correctly for Ford to actually care would be interesting to learn. Ford is aware on my problem and I hope looking in to it. Not like we are asking for much just the very basics of an EV. It is a bit of a problem for me and that is no paak.

Out of curiosity, what made you decide to go with a bank loan instead of the Ford Credit promo rates?
Drifting off topic a bit, but I'll answer. I had issues with FMCC when I was in my early 20s. It was a different time in my life and circumstances were rough for a kid just out of the service having difficulty transitioning to civilian life. I don't want to relive the gory details too much, but FMCC wasn't flexible when I needed it, and I had to sacrifice a place to live to pay off a 1991 Escort for about six months. After that, I just don't want to give them the business, even if it meant a cash back incentive. I've financed through credit unions and banks ever since. Tough times definitely build character, and I used that experience as motivation to get through college while working a full-time job and raising a family, determined to never be in that position again.

I've had my customer service case open for three weeks. I'd like to say it's been helpful, but after some initial concern and communication from them, phone calls and emails are not responded to. I'm not sure what they're doing, if anything at all.
