From the original MME brochure, here's what the GT wheel looks like without the aero cover.I would definitely want the dealer to remove the aero covers if you actually have to completely remove the wheel to do it. Seems kind of drastic to need that, how many people are going to take the car home and start removing the wheels? Some people don't even have a jack to do that.
It’s like the skunk in Bambi: Flower! From the original MME brochure, here's what the GT wheel looks like without the aero cover.

I never understood the hate for the GT wheels. I think they look great. In darker colors I don't think the aero covers will be as much of a bother as people make them out to be.I can't get it until Friday, but she's on the ground! These pix are from my salesman. I'll get better pix after I get off of work.

I think they're fine, but I do prefer the look of the Premium or GT-PE wheels.I never understood the hate for the GT wheels. I think they look great. In darker colors I don't think the aero covers will be as much of a bother as people make them out to be.
I am curious and look forward to some range tests with/without the aero covers.
Yours is also going to be at Joe Cooper? I'll be showing it at the MCA Mustang show during Labor Day weekend if you want to see it. Or just head up to Cooper now, as it's there until tomorrow.Joe Cooper Ford? Want to trade for a Rapid Red one that isn't built yet?
I've always liked the GT rims. Reminds me of the Taurus SHO rims.I have to say those wheels are growing on me. I really didn't like them at first. Maybe I've just given in to the fact that that is what I'm getting and the waiting is getting harder each day. On the other hand, they are putting very similar wheels on the Citroën Ami.
I hope the Miko is more breathable than it looks.
Jim Owens told us last week at Laguna Seca that the MME GTPE is faster 0-60, but the 500 takes the quarter mile. The new GT500 will crush the MME GT on a track. More cornering grip (a lot more), less weight, more power. However, the MME GT will likely "feel" faster much of the time on the street due to the instant torque.
Welp, now @Tommy303 HAS to take it to the track for us to find out.Jim Owens told us last week at Laguna Seca that the MME GTPE is faster 0-60, but the 500 takes the quarter mile.
