I would definitely want the dealer to remove the aero covers if you actually have to completely remove the wheel to do it. Seems kind of drastic to need that, how many people are going to take the car home and start removing the wheels? Some people don't even have a jack to do that.
From the original MME brochure, here's what the GT wheel looks like without the aero cover.

I can't get it until Friday, but she's on the ground! These pix are from my salesman. I'll get better pix after I get off of work.

I never understood the hate for the GT wheels. I think they look great. In darker colors I don't think the aero covers will be as much of a bother as people make them out to be.

I am curious and look forward to some range tests with/without the aero covers.

I think they're fine, but I do prefer the look of the Premium or GT-PE wheels.

I don't like the covers, and I seriously doubt they have any material impact on efficiency, so I plan to remove them and throw them away. So, they won't bother me at all!

Yours is also going to be at Joe Cooper? I'll be showing it at the MCA Mustang show during Labor Day weekend if you want to see it. Or just head up to Cooper now, as it's there until tomorrow.

I have to say those wheels are growing on me. I really didn't like them at first. Maybe I've just given in to the fact that that is what I'm getting and the waiting is getting harder each day. On the other hand, they are putting very similar wheels on the Citroën Ami.

I hope the Miko is more breathable than it looks.
I've always liked the GT rims. Reminds me of the Taurus SHO rims.

The new GT500 will crush the MME GT on a track. More cornering grip (a lot more), less weight, more power. However, the MME GT will likely "feel" faster much of the time on the street due to the instant torque.
Jim Owens told us last week at Laguna Seca that the MME GTPE is faster 0-60, but the 500 takes the quarter mile.

@Tommy303 does the GT have 3 driving modes, and did you punch it in unbridled. The off line jump is sluggish to me too, but once rolling even my premium snaps your head back in unbridled mode.

I wish they would let you chose your wheels when you order your car like Rivian or Tesla allow.

F***

As an Iconic Silver owner, I need that grille.

When they come out, can someone pull the part numbers and see if it's possible, because... it just kicks the shit out of the current look, and vinyl isn't the same.
