Loaner was a 2018 model S75D with 24k miles. There are some reports about the model 3 but not much. I think the model 3 and Y is better at it. It's in the model 3 manual as well so that makes me believe the internal counter is still in there.

My point is Tesla knows what their highway range is, but they don't publish it. Neither will Ford. It just results in a "he said/she said" flamefest. Why would Tesla or Ford want that? It's lose/lose for any company.

Absolutely. Absent a standardized test under controlled conditions, such numbers would be meaningless anyway. And such a test will only come about when there is a compelling governmental reason to require them.

Otherwise, we'd be looking for the 9 point font disclaimers about the 600-mile highway range.*
