Both myself and one of two locksmiths tried starter booster packs. I tried mine in “override” mode. I didn’t notice if the locksmith knew to select override.

confirmed with a voltmeter that mine was outputting constant 13 to 15volts (versus pulsing trying to detect a battery)

And of course, my jumper cables are in the Mach-e so I can’t jumper from my wife’s car
From your description of symptoms, e.g.,
Weirdly, the key fob and door number pad will cause the turn indicator lamps to flash front and rear and locking will honk the horn, but no change on the doors being locked and unable to open.
it doesn’t sound like your 12v battery is dead. If it’s not, the frunk release in the bumper will not operate. (If it did, it could be used to strap stuff from frunks.)

Something else must be going on with your car. I hope the dealership figured it out!

At the end of the day Ford will need to do a better job of letting everyone who has a 2-3 year old Mach e that this will happen WITH NO NOTICE! It happened to me...Ford (via Ford service) is meeting expectations right now. We will see. The call has been made.
In closing. I hd the 12 volt replaced today. The whole experience was very positive. Things I wished I knew - 1) my selling dealer is not EV certified! -I thought that getting a replacement battery would be a no-brainer. I WAS WRONG. Their solution was to jump it and drive it 40 miles to the nearest EV dealer for service. Not the best option...so I called Ford customer support. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE STEPED UP! The had the mobile tech from the EV dealer sent out to my home to replace the battery. I can't say enough for ford for recognizing my issues and get a solution. Im back driving and all is well.

Same thing happened to me today at the hardware store. 3 tow companies later, my kids and I made it home but what a pain. It’s being towed to the dealer now.

My 2021 CR1 goes through a 12V battery every 24 months. These vehicles need a full size 12V battery that charges every time you plug them into a charger. I hope the engineers are working on this. By the way, the 12V batteries are not covered by the 36 month warranty. If you get one for free, the dealer is paying for it. A new one runs around $250 without labor.

I think it's a good idea to several times a week log in to ford.com and check 12v battery level, it takes seconds and can perhaps give some warning of potential problem with it.
Zvez,

I apologize if it's posted somewhere else, but using the forum search tool nothing came up. I logged into ford.com but couldn't find the 12v battery level. Any advice on where to find it? TIA!

You needed a new LVB in your 23 model?
I wonder what the shelf life of the 12v battery is setting in an unsold car and also setting on a shelf in the parts department?

...exactly. Which is why I'm replacing the 12V battery today in my May 2022 Mach E. Don't want to be penny-wise & pound-foolish.

Good idea.

If I told you this story before I apologize for repeating myself.

I bought my car on March 21 this year. The car is a 23.5. Built second week of July, logged into dealer about a month later. I started shopping local dealers a couple of weeks prior to purchase. A few weeks after taking delivery I received via email a complimentary carfax report, complements of the dealer. Interestingly the carfax showed a battery replacement by the dealer right about the time I first pinged the dealer about the car. Obviously they didn’t install a new HVB for a reported $270 give or take. They installed a new LVB battery. I am glad they did.

They must have concluded the original 12v was a goner when they tried to wake up the car after someone, me, started to sniff around for a MME.

No problems thus far with the LVB and the HVB seems fine. It’s showing expected efficiency on the trip meters and showing expected range estimate at a given SOC. They are a learning adventure for sure, it’s not just plug and play like an ICE car, at least not for me. But I am enjoying it.

Except for our Mazda 3 AWD sedan, the MME is the first car I’ve had in a long time I just like to get in and drive, whether it’s just over to Wegmans or out I 66, destination unknown. It’s just fun.

I just had mine (almost 3 1/2 years old) replaced yesterday at the dealer. I’ve had zero problems with it but just figured it was time. Asked if they could come and do it with the mobile van but they said no ( I guess the mobile guy is not EV tech). That and a 50,000 mile check (tire rotation) took about an hour and a half. The cost for the battery replacement was $300. I figured that was fair since the battery itself from Rock Auto is $160. The service advisor said the new battery is warrantied for 3 years. I used my 30,000 points ($160) to offset the cost.

After I got home, a little while later, someone from the dealer called and asked if I wanted to sell my car or upgrade. I said no and didn’t ask what their offer might be.

I'm doing the same this week. Had the car for about 36 months and 30k miles, and garaged in extreme cold and extreme heat conditions regularly. It's about time! I plan to use points from the HVBJB goodwill gesture to offset as well.

Wow...when they made that video were they trying to see how short they could make it?

And the removal of the rear and left underhood beauty panels...like magic! It took no force at all and they just lifted off! Gosh! That guy is good! :p It's either that or he's lost every single one of these:

After realizing these things are not secure once you start removing those panels, I bought extras and when I put it back on, I taped them in place?

Good idea to have spares. I'm going to stop at the Ford store and pick some up. I bought some plastic plugs on amazon and am going to make cut outs for the LVB +/- jump points and the HVB disconnect that lives more or less mid-way between the LVB jump points. I'm going to find one of the electrical kill switch stickers we use to use in my SCCA racing days and place it by the HVB disconnect. I think that will be a nice touch and pay homage to a distant past in my life. ?

Ford didn’t have them so I got them at eBay.
