I've seen it read 999 MPGe to mean "infinite" so it can go that high.

There's a setting - I always forget where it is and what it's called - that changes the setting when in EV to one of two modes, one that gives a "true" MPGe without taking into account gas and one that gives an "effective" MPGe that tries to translate it to a gas equivalent or some such. I admit I've never really understood exactly what was going on there and haven't particularly cared. It's explained, I just haven't learned it.

The app reports my last trip was 3.3 mi at 184 MPGe using 0.6 kWh with 0.8mi regen. That's relatively high, TBH - 110-140 or so is more common.
Found the setting under Display, Units, Fuel Economy :
Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach-E FE vs. Model 3 LR 20201006_223036

I normally use "Fuel + Electric" but "Fuel only" is the default. Here is what my current gas tank looks like in the first mode:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach-E FE vs. Model 3 LR 20201006_223813

Notice the "EV" number wraps at 1k - it should read "2233.4". I suspect the MPG would max at 999.9.

And here is the trip I just finished in EV only drive mode:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach-E FE vs. Model 3 LR 20201006_223535

By comparison, here is Trip 1 in the mode I use, MPG equivalent, which I consider to be "more accurate" :
Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach-E FE vs. Model 3 LR 20201006_224044

Right, so the mode you use divides the 567 kwh by 33.7 to get 16.8 "gas equivalent gallons", making the MPGe 111. 111 = 2357mi/21.18g

So simple question I have what will be the Mache miles per gallon gas compression. Fuel economy.
Like to see what some of you fellow mache fans think it will be.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict:

route 1 with 18" aero wheels:
3.6 mi/kwh
317 mi range
121 MPGe

select RWD with 18" non-aero wheels:
3.55 mi/kwh
241 mi range
120 MPGe

premium RWD with 19" wheels:
3.5 mi/kwh
308 mi range ER
238 mi range SR
118 MPGe

A somewhat off-topic question for you and anyone else with a Fusion Energi. Is there a limit to what it will tell you the MPG is on the instrument cluster? My wife has been working from home - so much so that we have only put gas in the car ONCE this entire year. She just runs errands and goes to Starbucks. Also now with the Grizzl E it charges more than twice as fast. It is giving us an MPG of now 210 MPG. Our previous Energi that was driven more we were always somewhere around 100 MPG. This one keeps climbing as long as we don't use gas.
I just checked in the app. We have driven 5,607 miles in this car, and only 882 of them were non-electric. About 84% electric miles. Our most recent use this last 30 days has been 156.7 miles using 44.1 KWH, so about 3.55 m/KWH. Not too bad. Compared to my Escape that gets 26.5 MPG, with my paying about 12 cents per KWH, that equates to about an equivalent of about 90 cents per gallon.

That's what always gets me when I hear some people complain that PHEVs aren't pure enough and will just lead to people running them on gas all the time.

While there's always gonna be some exceptions, the vast majority of people care about saving money. And it's a no-brainer to refuel at home as much as possible since it's roughly 1/3rd the price!

Plus, that's why they chose a PHEV rather than ICE in the first place -- it USE IT! Otherwise they'll just buy an ICE vehicle that costs less.
