You can tweak the settings manually in ABRP. I’ve got the settings so that I’m within about 5% accuracy.
I've tried but due to nonlinearities in their model it doesn't seem to work right. Different speeds require different reference consumption figures.

I have the OBDLink MX for my C-MAX because it supports Ford's special MS-CAN protocols (which I access via Torque Pro and Forscan Lite for Android). Anyone know if the Mach-E uses MS-CAN as well and, if so, whether the CX supports MS-CAN? Are there other protocols the adapter needs to support for the Mach-E?

Thanks. {Jonathan}
The Mach-E does use the MS-CAN; but I do not know if the CX supports it. All the data ABRP reads so far is from the main CAN network.

One thing I noticed on the MME that may improve security is both OBD2 CAN buses go directly into the gateway module, unlike my older Ford Fusion where they were directly on the buses. This should eliminate being able to monitor the CAN Bus and inject messages. The baud rate for MS-CAN is 500K instead of 125K.

I am in the process of buying an OBD Scanner for my 2021 MME. What scanners do you MME owners have that works with this app (IOS) or other good apps.

I received a Blue Driver Pro Scan for Christmas but it sounds like it won’t work with the MME. I’m looking for the best replacement option under $150

The 2nd post on here has the two adapters that I've personally tested that work fine.

Both are under $50.

Any adapter that lists Bluetooth BLE should work.

I read earlier that the Blue Driver Pro Scan doesn’t work. It has BLE

It doesn't mention BLE anywhere on the Amazon page so that's where I'm basing that on. I've not tried it personally.

If it is actually BLE, there have been a few devices that they had to add in new device IDs into the list of devices it looks for. They've tried to get it to only show OBD dongles instead of all BLE devices. And some have used a little different identifiers.

I couldn't get BlueDriver to work. As Ben mentioned, it only scans for some dongles presumably based on the BT MAC. Additionally, the MME isn't supported by the official BlueDriver app either. It will read some values but it's not a supported vehicle in their list.

Thanks. I will return and get one of the suggested.

I did see instructions on the BlueDriver website on how to pair with Bluetooth LE (iOS).

Pairing your BlueDriver
Important - before you get started, have a look at the engraving on the side of your BlueDriver.

I haven’t opened the box to see if it has “LE”

For anyone who has issues getting ABRP to recognize the dongle you might have to pair it first. At least in my version of the app (Android) it would appear that the the app isn't calling bluetoothDevice.createBond(). Any supported BLE dongle should work so long as it's previously paired to the phone. Unless they are specifically calling LEScan then regular BT devices may work as well. Once the phone and the device have a bond the ABRP app can then take advantage of that. So for anyone who is struggling with the connection portion, pair the dongle first using the BT pairing on the phone.

Ben, do you know if they will be using this crowdsourced data to improve the accuracy of their Mach-E consumption models? My big gripe with ABRP is that the consumption model is way off (~20%) showing range that is much less than reality. I don't think they've accounted for drag coefficient and frontal area accurately in their Mach-E model. Not sure if this can be fixed or improved so ABRP is more useful?
Yes they do. There has been ways to get this data into the app for a while but hasn't been many Mach Es doing it. The more we get using the live data feature the more accurate it will get for non live data users.

Ordered that VeePeak today on Amazon and expect it on Christmas Eve. Road trip on the 27th so I will be curious as to how this will work.
Have you tested the VeePeak yet? I'm curious if it connects to ABRP on the iPhone before I order one for my upcoming trip.
