Thank you for sharing 22P08. I don't think the dealer had my 12v battery on a power supply while they were trying to do the GWM update... they ran it down. To charge it up, they put the car on an L2 charger... hmmmA new tech bulletin has been posted with a related CSP 22P08 that includes detailed steps for performing the gateway module (GWM) update successfully. This may be useful information for your dealer. Also there is a new version of FDRS software out in the past day or two, your dealer should update if they haven't already.
There are important steps about waiting while using a USB drive to do updates, sometimes you must wait 5-10 minutes after it says a step is complete before continuing to give the files time to apply in the background.
That bulletin also mentions the importance of having the 12V battery be fully charged during updates, if it's less than 80%, it should be charged fully before continuing. Updates will not be successful if a battery charger or power supply isn't being used, this is very important and some dealers aren't doing it.
