so does that mean they did that at the end or does the history that Erik CBoston shared indicate that they may have done that at some other stage?

sync version still shows 358 and I don’t see blue cruise activated trial expires…on connected services. Just shows coming soon.
It shows it at the end.

What’s the likelihood that the best path forward with this is waiting for OTA to do its part?
What is your life expectancy?

Mine goes in Monday and I fully expect to have BlueCruise before midweek.

Mine goes in Monday and I fully expect to have BlueCruise before midweek.
Id love to believe that a second trip to my dealership is going to be more fruitful but it seems they have no interest in listening to the information I can give them from here.

That sucks for you.

My dealership tried to delay my visit, but after supplying them with insight from this forum, said to bring it. I deal with the Service Manager directly.

Hello everybody.
This is what I am experiencing with my Mach E. I am in the EA program and when the OTA update 2.5.2 downloaded, it had the BC almost ready for my vehicle. The following day update 2.5.3 downloaded and as soon as the update was successful, BC became active in my vehicle.
I decided to take it on the road for a test drive. As soon as I activated my route, turned on cruise control and lane keeping and selected my speed, BC tile/box appeared to indicate that BC was active. The area around the vehicle symbol expanded and navigation was on.
Another caution tile/box appeared to remind me to keep my eyes looking forward. I tested the system by staring at my wife for couple seconds. Warnings reminded me to keep looking forward and occasionally to keep a finger on the steering wheel. BC was active. Not Enhanced Adaptive Cruise Control. Now the BC for Job 2 vehicles might look little bit different as far as presentation but I was driving with BC on.
The wife was paying close attention to what was going on. Some secondary roads on our way home were not in the BC database and BC was partially deactivated. On our side streets, BC basically warned up to resume manual operation.
The EA OTA updates seemed to work on my vehicle. I knew/expected few hiccups with the downloads but so far so good.
Tesla is the only company with a ten year advantage on OTA updates. Ford is the second company with OTA updates. All other legacy automakers have decided that updates only should take place at the dealerships.
I understand everyone would like to have BC in their vehicles as soon as it is available. Many of us paid for it and waited patiently for it's release. Some had success with their dealers and some had not. Maybe some dealers are not ready or prepared for this.
In my opinion this is a big deal for Ford and they moving on this with plenty of caution.
I think Tesla is watching. Plenty has been said about Tesla and their OTA updates.
Now it is Ford turn to be successful at OTA updates.

You didn’t actually pay for it. The $600 for BC wasn’t added to the price of the car until Job 2.
When I ordered the vehicle the Premium had the BC included but we all had to wait at least 6 months for the delivery. Ford also had mentioned the $600 fee upon activation of NC. Then a delay for another couple months ( until December ) which then was extended to the first quarter of 2022. Either way the whole BC issue for Job 1 vehicles was stretched more than everyone expected. Ford wasn't ready or they didn't have a sufficient database and a working algorithms. The terms of the agreement have changed few times in the last 12 months. For me is exactly 14 months in the waiting. Now I have a year to try it, rate it and justify it's renewal at $600.
I intent to test drive BC extensively.

Yeah I think I’m going to have to escalate this to the service manager come Monday. And implore them that maybe this forum is the best resource they have.

I don't think it is incompetence. My dealer successfully installed BC on three vehicles and had 3 other vehicles fail. If there is incompetence then we should looks back towards the manufacturer IMO.

When the end users are the only apparent method of Quality Control then you have a real problem on your hands. Just saying....

Oh well, that is incompetence.
Hard to follow all the tales of woe. I have enough on my own plate to fill a chapter or two. :)

I am now having ACC and LKA activate on its own. Either that or I just now learned how to accidentally hit those buttons without realizing it. Never had that issue before....and I have a few miles under my belt....

Weird. ???

Hello everyone.
Today was some interstate cruising done.
Noticed that are two levels of BC.
On major country roads you have BC with warning box that requires your hands on the steering all the time. Looking forward is required all the time.
Today was interstate driving time.
Upon activation of CC and Lane Keeping, BC engaged with a different display.
BC screen with the Hands Free icon illuminated. It works. I waited for the 2.5.3 update and now here it is.
OTA updates just like Tesla.
I had my reservations but now I have to say that Ford is catching up.
I know everyone has their opinions on the subject but I see that the system (OTA) updates was successful with my Job 1 vehicle. What I am reading in this Forum is various level of successes and failures.
Hopefully all is sorted out soon.
