Thanks for the tip. I may end up moving down there, now I know a dealer to avoid. The dealers around here don't seem to have a problem working on the cars, if anything the hardware should be easier to work on, the sw they need to get more training on no doubt (and Ford needs to improve their work.)

This is at North County Ford in Vista Ca.

Advisor was telling us that no one wants to touch these cars because of how difficult they are to work on.

You’re welcome! yeah, I plan on taking my car to the Escondido dealership after they fix my car. All this trouble and they don't even offer loaner cars anymore.

For everyone reading this, I would be extremely clear that the reason to do it yourself is that you find it fun and amusing, and you don't mind spending money on gadgets to support that amusement. None of this should be construed as the "right way to maintain this car".
Oh yeah, no doubt. I greatly enjoy tinkering too, but resisted getting all these DIY tools knowing they weren't absolutely necessary. I just got too focused on the idea of getting Bluecruise early, without expecting any bugs (ha). I'll still hang on to my stuff, but probably will be much more conservative about doing updates on my own if at all, once the OTA process is ironed out.

I'm sure you'll get there! This is a particularly sticky bit of updates and you aren't the only one having issues. As the new procedures get out there and bugs get fixed in FDRS things will eventually smooth out again.

I’m also stuck at 358 and dealer says the ipc update it stuck it won’t update. I told them that a new fdrs update came out so they need to update that first and then retry which the tech may be refusing. Can someone run my VIN (3FMTK3SUXMMA03611) on FDRS and see what updates are still available?

I really Appreciate it!

Decided to pickup my career before the weekend after not hearing anything all day. I guess instead of consulting the lengthy email I wrote the team at my dealership just decided to call Ford and hadn’t heard back. So my car sat all day. Lane keeping no longer works as expected. And no real idea of how to love forward. Dealer said they’d call me after hearing from Ford. SMH.
Same with me they did the TSB 22-2117 although still no updates and no serial number for the APIM. they tried the 21G01 and it kept giving errors they put in a work order with Ford but they said Ford tech support closed on Friday and likely Monday so I picked the car up and now have to take it back next week for them to try again. With all the times this car has been in the shop with window recall and attempting to get me unstuck from early Oct its been in the at least a full month all together and stuck on updates 7 month I only had the car 9 months. Ugh!

I did not realize that some vehicle service history can be accessed with FDRS, so you can see what was done.

April 13
The dealer tried updating the GWM and accessed the Workshop manual for tests to diagnose Ethernet network failure multiple trouble codes. The second attempt on the GWM worked. The IPMA was updated.

April 14
The CCM, PSCM, CMR, IPC, PCM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, RFA, IPC, APIM were updated. They reset the APIM twice.

The double APIM reset at the end is key!!

Et tu Brute?
My dealer struggled for 2 days to install BlueCruise without success. I picked it up and now LKA doesn't work as well as before. It works, but keeps visiting the right side of the lane. I just keep it turned off now.

At this point I just hope Ford doesn't "update" anything else. :(

Well just had @Shaggyrn back over to try the updates again with the new FDRS. After trying the IPC update again, it dropped off, then got an APIM, and then a GWM, and then another APIM. Did the double APIM reset, and the hands-free toggle was there, and the BC expiration date was showing in about sync.

However, on the test drive, the blue bubble for Lane centering still won't show up, which means it can't engage into hands free either.

Came back and hooked back up to FDRS, and the CCM and CMR were showing again in the update list, but running them would just do a config and then update to ford and finish within a minute or so then drop off the list. Then OBCC, 2 of the door modules, and the HVAC module showed back up and also just did the config update with the same version of software.

After all that still no Lane centering or BC.

At least all the software is there like it should be. I hope.

so does that mean they did that at the end or does the history that Erik CBoston shared indicate that they may have done that at some other stage?

sync version still shows 358 and I don’t see blue cruise activated trial expires…on connected services. Just shows coming soon.

What’s the likelihood that the best path forward with this is waiting for OTA to do its part?
