If there hasn't been any updates done on the car, there will be an APIM update listed. But after doing it and some other updates, a newer version of the APIM is supposed to show up. It seems like that 2nd APIM update isn't popping in for everyone.Question - if one looks in FDRS before going in for 21G01, is this the ONLY APIM update that would show up? Meaning, if it isn't there, don't bother going in? Or is there one update, then based on other updates a second shows up?
Question for you and any of the others that aren't seeing the final Sync update become available. Are you following the steps as written in the bulletin?I did all the updates for @Shaggyrn over 2 different days. At this point his car only has an IPC update that did apply, but didn't drop off the list, but was still never given the final APIM update that is needed.

I preformed the bulk of the updates a few days before the bullitin came out, so I didn't follow that. Just did them in the order they were listed in FDRS.Question for you and any of the others that aren't seeing the final Sync update become available. Always, always, always do any GWM or TCU update that pops up in the SW Updates list in FDRS before doing anything else listed.I preformed the bulk of the updates a few days before the bullitin came out, so I didn't follow that. Just did them in the order they were listed in FDRS.
I'm not sure if the IPC update that won't drop off is causing an issue or if its just because he's not in the EAP BC group.
There is a new SSM posted today, its showing only applicable to the F150, but it does seem like it could also happen on the Mach E as well. The IPC update on the car I updated, the first time worked fine, but didn't drop off the list, and subsequent updates give a failure.
SSM 50671 - FDRS ALERT - 2021 F-150 - Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Programming Failures
Some 2021 F-150 vehicles may experience an Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) programming failure during Programmable Module Installation (PMI) and/or Software Update with the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) which states either The Module Configuration Has Failed, Would You Like To Retry? or Procedure Unsuccessful- RestoreDE0x_Range Exception Writing Configuration To Module. This may be due to the gateway module (GWM), accessory protocol interface module (APIM) and/or telematics control unit (TCU) not being at the correct software level to support an IPC software update. Perform all available software updates for the GWM, APIMand/or TCU. When these software updates are complete, continue with PMI and/or software update of the IPC.
I did do GWM/APIM/TCU updates as soon as they popped in the list after other updates.Always, always, always do any GWM or TCU update that pops up in the SW Updates list in FDRS before doing anything else listed.

What's your APIM (Sync) version now? Like 244?Oh man. I have a bad feeling I am on the no APIM update list. Finished most all of the other updates and in the order on the protocol - I finished all the rest of 21P22 (which the dealer said they installed ?) and all I have left is the RFA even though the APIM update has never shown up. IPMA, CCM still stuck on the list even though both completed fine. Could that be holding up the appearance of the APIM update?
My car is at the dealer now. Will update the group when I get it back.So people who did through dealer and are stuck without BC, is that the only issue? Does regular ACC and lane keeping still work?
That is correct for my Mach E. When I turn on Adaptive Cruise Control, the Blue Cruise icon pops up stating the Blue Cruise is active but it then just disappears. However, Adaptive Cruise Control and lane centering still work. My Sync version is at 358 instead of 364. I am not an EA member. My vehicle is back in the service department today. I gave him all the recommendations I've read from this site. He agrees with the remedies but is really upset with Ford because he says Ford is not providing all the updated modules and he is looking like a fool when he can't get Blue Cruise to fully update. He admits to not being a fan of doing a PMI to force an update. I encouraged him to try the PMI anyhow. So people who did through dealer and are stuck without BC, is that the only issue? Does regular ACC and lane keeping still work?
If you go to owner.ford.com and sign into your account then go to connected services you will see the actual expiration date for BC. Mine activated on 4/10/2022 and the expiration date shows 04/10/2023.Yep. That's supposed to be the right answer. Convincing the car may be another matter.
As I said, it should get updated. Hopefully that's just map expiration #1.
