How are you planning to determine that?
By what's posted here (across the multitude of BC update threads). If virtually no one has been successful updating a non-EA vehicle via FDRS, either at a dealer or themselves, and there is no clear "steps to success" written about, I have better things to do than take it in and then get it back without BC working, and then either have to take it back again, or wait and wait for an OTA update. Of course I will check with my dealer too, they may have done some in the interim.

That's honestly why I haven't taken my car into the dealer either. I don't have a ton of time I can be without my car and I don't want to have it sit there while they are "working on it"

2: You can view the BC expiration date in Settings>General>SYNC Version
Buuut...the expiration will say something like October of this year on your "About Sync" screen. Whereas your actual correct expiration is on your Ford connected services or FP app and is based on one year from the date of your BC activation.

The October date isn't the date your subscription expires, it's the date the maps expire. The maps are updated every 6 months. That's why all cars currently have the same October date on the Sync screen but your connected services will have another date for your car's subscription.

Clear as mud.

As the kids say "WAT?"

I'm not in EA and did mine using FDRS, and according to the poll results I saw last night there are 5 others who also did this update themselves.

But you may be right to wait a bit while they parse through the dealer feedback they are currently getting to see if they can drill down on where the 'gotchas' are in the process.

I dropped my car at the dealer this morning for BlueCruise + fixing my OTA updates.
At first, they told me they didn't want to install BlueCruise because it takes a long time but I insisted and he put it into the service.

Kinda disappointed by the resistance :( There is no way I am waiting for maybe getting the updates installed properly after being stuck since November with no OTAs.

Day 8 at the dealer - no BC. It looks like the dealer has lost interest in working on it. They don't know what to do and are not getting anything from Ford.

I've gotten a case number and a call from Ford customer service, but no actual action in the dealership service department.

It has already been 10 months and I'm not interested in waiting any longer.

How can this be successfully escalated?

There are too many polls.

One poll says that 4 people had BC added by dealer, and 2 did it themselves, but did not distinguish between those in EA or not.

Another poll says there is 1 person who installed BC that wasn't in EA, and 2 people that had the dealer install 21G01 but doesn't specify that they were successful in getting BC. 10 non-EA people say that the dealer tried to install 21G01 and they don't have BC.

I want success, so if there isn't a clear path to it, I'll not waste their time or mine.

This dealer only accepts work that doesn't take a while?
Sounds like a bad business decision for work that charges by the hour lol. These freaking idiots.
