Service said they did the BC recall updates, while I had mine in to have one of the front half shafts replaced. I'll be taking the car out later to verify or check and see if anything has changed, but my expectation is that I will need to wait for the OTA updates past 2.3 before anything cool happens.

I had 2 modules remaining to be updated yesterday when I took it in, service said they did the 21G01 all this morning.

Same thing for me. I just checked and says "coming soon". Is Ford update their list or something?

Is this from your Connected Services page?

They flipped some switch. Maybe this means the general public OTAs are coming soon?

If that's the case you should look out for a letter in the mail. It's likely you'll be one of the folks who will be receiving the the impending BlueCruise recall notice.

I heard about it from my salesman yesterday and it's apparently of sufficient length that they will be paying the tech a full 8 hours to get it done. I think somebody else mentioned it today on the forum as well.

Looking forward to reading that one!

Mike
Salesman is likely confused. Very confused.

Its not a recall. It is a Field Service Action. The letter they were referring to is the one that was posted in this thread already that was set to be mailed out to all customers with a job1 car this week. They are just telling you the same info that they are seeing in the 21G01 bulletin.

The letter to customers says the updates will be coming OTA, but upon request, the dealer can do it if you don't want to wait for the OTA.

Just received verification about my 21G01 updates, looks like the IPC update failed and they didn't try to update it again (or failed to notice it.) I guess I should be happy there is only one update left after 5 days of the car at the dealer (over 2 service appointments.)

That is the same spot I am in for the Car I ran updates on. The USB portion completed successfully but the FDRS/OBD part failed at the end.

There is likely more updates that will pop up once that is completed successfully.

Is that the only update showing as due? Or are there others?

Update 2.5.3 just arrived.
Tried BC on my way home. It worked.
Had to keep my hands on the steering wheel and looking straight ahead. Any time I looked at the screen, warnings popped up.
Also the instrument screen did not changed much in appearance. Basically though the BC was on and working.

That’s not BC …that’s just adaptive cruise control …mine is doing the same and says keep eyes on the road when I look away …and I have to keep my hands on the wheel
