Just got mine back from the dealer - it works! I pointed out to them that 21P22 wasn’t totally completed on the last visit. They must have done them all this time. They had the car for a day and a half. They didn’t do the test drive but I checked it on the way home and Blue Cruise activated. I also checked the SYNC version was showing 264. I was a bit shocked after reading about all the trials and tribulations others have been through but I’ll take it. This time I’m the windshield and not the love bug.?
I'd your sync shows 264 I am skeptical that you have blue cruise but willing to admit being wrong. Can you share some pictures?

Apparently AutoNation Ford in St. Pete, FL said they won’t do these updates anymore cause they take too long… maybe something Ford wants to look into? What are they gonna say once letters start going out?

After my first dealer trip, I'm at 244 without lane centering. I tried to explain all the modules that were still out of date to my dealer, but I'm sure they feel like because they won't be paid for updating modules not related to 21G01, that they shouldn't worry about that...
Have someone with an FDRS license run a check on your VIN and see what's left (if you haven't already), the non-GWM, APIM and IPC updates are very quick and don't require the USB song and dance. Doing the updates via FDRS I went from 244 > 358 > 364 (Bluecruise) so you're only 2 APIM updates away, with 1-2 GWM and an IPC update sprinkled in there.

Make sure Sync is version 364 and that it says Lane Centering with Hands-Free.

I would suggest you make sure they test drive to ensure the Blue Cruise icon comes on and offers hands-free driving. I have Sync version 364 and Lane Centering with Hands-Free option and still Blue Cruise is not working.

I pinged my CSR at my Ford dealer to see if they've had success after my failed 3-day upgrade. He said 3 cars, not successes. But he also asked if I wanted to bring it in next week to see if he could figure it out. I declined saying that I'd wait until I saw successes being reported in this forum.

I provided the dealership with a screenshot of my out of date modules and I got “we’ll talk to ford.” Seems like all im asking them to do is update the car but they make it seem like some magic thing that has a special recipe.

Also getting this same exact error if I try to do a PMI on the IPC lol
We can be founding members of the stuck IPC club!

Just for the hell of it, I took a page from @benk016 and his success story and did the PMI for most of the other Bluecruise-associated modules (CCM, GWM, PSCM, APIM, TCU) but still nothing. PSCM had a weird update failure message, but I repeated the operation again and it completed successfully - I think I just need to do the drive straight and fast step (SSM 49545) to clear some residual error messages.

I really, really hope this upcoming FDRS server-side update fixes things...

OK I take it all back! My dealer, El Cajon Ford, got all my updates done. They stuck with it and, after two days, they figured out how to get all updates in, including Blue Cruise. I think the key was the point where the battery is disconnected as part of a different update. After that, they said it was "all green". I could not be happier with them and the fact that BC is very cool. I drove all the way home hands off! I would recommend these guys to do your updates if you have a Job 1 like mine. My salesman was talking with me while they drove the car up. Turns out another member of the forum that I had interacted with was picking up his new MME (Ice Blue). It was great to meet him and happy that we are looking after each other. Also thanks General Tso who figured out I had "no updates" required when the dealer said the car was done.

Sorry but was unable to read all 67 pages. Went to the dealership twice this month to handle the windshield and brakes...they said they also did software updates. My Sync version is 244 which mean I don't have the updates yet. Correct?

If I don't want to bother with another trip to the dealership, I can just wait for OTA update? Or is it required to be done at the dealership?

You are looking for Sync 364. Yes OTA will do it. Should be happening soon. I decided to give my dealer one shot over three days and they got it done. YMMV.
