It's been a great 4.5 years with the MME (and we should make it to 5 before the replacement arrives), but we've decided to upgrade it. Recent events in our lives reminded us that we're getting old, life is too short, and it's time to splurge. So I ordered a Lucid Gravity GT this week. We road trip a LOT, and the 450 mile range should be amazing. Factoring in safety buffers, that's really double what we get from the MME. Most full drive days should take only one DCFC stop (two at most). Amazing.

It's not my favorite look from the outside (looks like more of a wagon than an SUV), but that's how they get the range. And the inside is ?.

Congratulations! I’m planning to wait a few years and find a used one. If used prices are like the Air, it should be a bargain. (Hopefully they’ll still be in business by then.) Keep us updated when it arrives.

The Gravity is sweet, but it's too big for my needs. Next year, the smaller Lucid Earth comes out. The earth is likely what's next for me.

Definitely looks like it could fit your needs well.

I would consider leasing it vs buying so you can walk away at the end just in case Lucid’s financials catch up with them.

By all accounts a fantastic vehicle. I don't love the styling - reminds me of a Kia Carnival - but I am sure it is a winner otherwise. Hopefully Lucid sticks around.

I like the Lucid's Tim. I personally like the looks of the Air better, and would seriously consider one at this point but alas, Lucid Motors has no presence in the state. Perhaps that or our location will change.

Be sure to keep us updated on the order and process.

Congrats. If they had a location near us I might consider them in a few years.

Make sure to pop back on here to let us know how the road tripping experience is compared to your 4X.

Congratulations Tim. Lucids are great cars v it should be perfect for your needs.

Personally, I’d go sleeker and consider an Air

Thanks for all the comments. The Gravity is bigger than we need but it's only a foot longer than the MME, has rear wheel steering, and thus the same 38' turning radius. So I'm ok with the size. I'm only getting the 5 seats tho. We have no need for 7. Just lots of cargo space.

First year model will probably be like the MME First Edition again. Software bugs, slow updates, etc. Told myself I wasn't gonna do that again, but here's I am. And honestly, it was all worth it with the MME (our first EV). Even with some 1st year headaches. Gonna miss it when it goes (but I won't miss the stiff suspension).

They have some pretty good lease deals until the end of June.

Nice! Congrats. I still have another year or so before I start thinking about what I will do. Frunk size is a huge factor for me, so if I take frunk out of the equation, it opens the door for a lot of possibilities.
