Perhaps, I didn't look at the 12V meter as I have the cover closed--didn't think to. Whenever I have glanced at it the 12V battery voltage was 12V+ with the car parked.

------------------

Took the car for a drive to see what is different:
  1. The update turns off 1-P and the HVAC..be prepared (especially when the car leaps out of the garage LOL)
  2. The update does not erase your departure times (I programed a few in last night when someone here mentioned that they will be erased--they weren't. Ford must think "depature" is more mature than "go" as on the Focus Electric they were called "Go" times and forever will be in my mind)
  3. Driving around with 1-P off the brakes are a lot less touchy and more like our Escape. You no longer come to a screeching halt by just looking at the break pedal
  4. Likewise with 1-P off that little lurch just before coming to a complete stop is almost all gone. In some instances its still there but its greatly reduced
So far that is all I noticed during a short 5 mile drive.
How about that grabby release from a stop in 1PD?

My car has never really been that grabby starting in 1-P.

Really the only time it has been grabby is the first start after the car has been off for a while. Since the update turned off 1-P which I wasn't ready for I didn't notice it being grabby putting it on R.

I did get an error putting it in R for the first time, however (only that first time).

It says to expect that in the release notes.

"As a result of these actions, you may see a message in your screen behind the steering wheel, stating, “Reverse Brake Assist not available. See manual”. This message is accurate but will clear in just a couple minutes into your drive, and the feature will then be available."

I swear these are changes that came to my Job 1.5 build when it got 1.7.1. 1PD felt way less grabby and no more lurch at stop. I hardly ever press the brake pedal though.

That's great to hear about the brake pedal! It has recently become one of my bigger annoyances.

Now we need @OutofSpecKyle to test out a Mach-E with the update, I know it was one of his bigger annoyances as well.

Looking forward to it rolling out to more of us in EA!

It appears with this one Ford actually updated powertrain modules! Wow. Impressed. This is HUGE for us. Means OTA is finally working as Ford advertised!

They said it would take 5-7 updates to get blue cruise, there’s 5 right there. Unless they really mean 5-7 OTAs.

This is definitely not the BC update. Notable missing module is the IPMA.

This updated the AC charger, BECM, rear motor, ABS, and PCM. On an AWD car it would probably update the front motor too.

Impossible, we all KNOW they don't include useful release notes!

Oh no I know it wasn’t. I was just hoping there weren’t going to be so many OTA updates, but I guess there will.

Meanwhile 2.4.1 is still ea only?

Makes me wonder if they're going to keep all of these updates out of the pubic release until ea people get bc, and then they'll just dump them all at once to public release?

Should be early access only for 2 weeks or so then start rolling to everyone after that. The plan is to get these out as quick as possible.

Well it's been about 2.5 weeks for 2.4.1. So I guess we'll see if it's publicly released this next week? ?‍♂
