And I have res#5541 placed during the reveal on 11/17. It a First Edition and I have 12/14.

They didn't follow the numbers or timestamps at all.
After reading all these it seems to be heavily location based. Maybe they’re prioritizing EV mandate states before year end? Or are pooling regional builds so that they can ship out together? Stinks they’re overriding our dibs for that.

I'm in Maryland, one of the original Northeast RGGI states.

Who knows, maybe California is just cooler than us. Does seem to be location-based though, I ordered 8/31 and I’m 12/7 build. Might be just filling increments of full trucks with clusters of regional orders and building orders like that. Didn’t seem like cuatitlan has a huge lot, might be most efficient to just build them in chunks vaguely associated by reservation date. Still pretty lame though.

Thanks to all for sharing your order info and production dates. Can this info be added to this forum's order tracker? This may help us learn the logic behind the production schedule.

It’s just baffling, so there are people that ordered an extended range first edition the night of the reveal before you, and you’re still somehow getting yours built before them
As some members of the forum previously wondered out loud, maybe the FE is just being treated as a trim line when production is scheduled rather than as a "first to be produced" designation.

Independent of First Edition, it is clear that Ford is not scheduling by First Come First Served. People who walked into their dealer to start this process in October are getting their cars built before those who reserved last November and ordered in June.

That’s what I was thinking too. The last time we had that discussion, I thought Ford never explicitly said the FE’s would get built first, it was just a (reasonable) assumption from the name. I think someone had cited to an article of FE’s getting built first, but it seemed the author more assumed FE’s would get built first as opposed to the author questioning someone at Ford and getting an answer in the affirmative.

I also think if Ford would guarantee the FE’s coming first, that would have been prominent in their marketing of that trim.

Ya, my reservation number is more than 8K higher than yours, AND I have a premium reservation. My build is the same week as yours (I’m in Northern VA — so close to you). I don’t have a VIN number though.

Seems a little messed up to me.

But do we know if people with orders of the same trim and in the same region are getting their vehicles in order? For example, maybe someone in Virginia who ordered a Rapid Red Premium AWD ER last November would definitely get it before someone else in Virginia who ordered that same exact car in August?

I know that I ordered two Mach-Es. One with a res # in the 13,000s and one in the 60,000s. The earlier one is scheduled for 12/21 week production and the second is not yet scheduled. Same car except for color (Premium AWD ER). So, at least my two orders are happening in the intended sequence (which was my intent).

Not me. Walked in on 7/18 got an email that day with an order date and order number but since then nothing. Never received that price reduction email

In the original publication of rough dates, the First Editions and Premiums were said to start shipping worldwide in "late 2020", while the selects and route 1's were "early 2021". Covid shot that all to hell and I'm guessing that Ford is just scrambling with a messed up supply chain and delivery infrastructure.

And paying more for basically the same car, unless you ordered grabber blue, which was on the GT at the reveal, but is now an FE unique color.
