With so many Tesla's here in the desert of So. Cal. EV vehicles are everywhere. Never had any problems.

A few months after I picked up my Mach in Jan '23, someone keyed it from door to door on the passenger side. And it was a really deep, angry key too. I was @ either a grocery store or a Total Wine. Have no idea why they did it. Don't have any political or bumper stickers of any kind. Can only imagine it's because it was an EV. But who knows. Undoubtedly, this was a very sad, miserable individual that did it.

Appreciate all the insights. Surely has helped me calm down a bit on what sounded like a nightmare to some vocal owners!
Also consider that regardless of vehicle or where or when, we're all subject to the whims and actions of idiots of all types with whom we share the road. Driving my MME hasn't attracted any unwanted attention for me.

I frequently zip around slowpokes in the left lane and give them the finger in my bright blue MME. Those people may harass you when they think you're me.

Only real harassment I ever got was after putting ice in my frunk some diesel-bro gave me a dirty look like I was breaking the laws of the universe. As you can tell from above I'm a jerk so I gave him my standard greeting.
Yes, that color is NOT to be incognito! Love the Grabber Blue, and also agree with another comment, it is not a (traditional) Mustang, and that is also OK with me (see my sig-pic, have a 2005 'Stang convertible!). I have both covered, love them both, for different reasons but still love them!

I'm sure someone has silently raged at the car, or possibly driven aggressively around me because of it. If they did, I just assumed it was their normal aggressive behavior. The only comments that I've actually heard were positive, or some generic dislike of EVs. Nothing really awful.

I have had a few cars rev their engines next to me at lights. That's always fun, since I can't do it back!

You lack imagination...

1) Open window.
2) Stick head out window.
3) Loudly say, "VROOM, VROOM!"
4) Put head back inside car.
5) Close window.

Great idea! I'm definitely doing that next time. If they are revving because they hate my car, the laugh might defuse the whole thing.

A year or so ago someone squirted a couple of mustard packages on the car while it was parked at a fast food restaurant. But nothing more serious or more recent than that. As an aside, I was at an EV meet up and public demo in rural Minnesota where several diesel pick up drivers were happily rolling coal (revving their engines to blow black smoke) periodically past us.
Probably either teenagers or rednecks. To me I don’t even see the point they are trying to make. It’s like “my vehicle is slower than yours and I pollute the air we breathe.”

As a non-Mach E owner and huge Mustang guy(I've owned 11 including my current fox body project car), every time I see one, I can't help but wonder if the owner is on the forum. That's about it.

There is only one vehicle on the road that makes me rage for no reason, and that's a Corolla. The worst and most inconsiderate drivers are always in a Corolla.

Never experienced any road rage.

I’ve had a few kids point at my car out of the window.

I’ve been back in the market for a MME and came across some folks saying they’ve been harassed because they have a MME. I’m not sure if that’s a one off situation or happens frequently enough to be noticeable.
I love the car but I also love being anonymous/incognito. On that note, I also will be sharing this car with my wife and daughter at times and definitely want to keep them from feeling uncomfortable while driving.

How have you guys felt in your MME ownership? Have you noticed an increase in unpleasant run-ins since you’ve switched to a MME?
The comments I've received (and continue to receive) are positive. Mostly because I was clever enough to get Cyber Orange.
