Absolutely make sure the tow truck driver knows it’s an electric vehicle knows where the tow points are knows what to do otherwise you can destroy the car. I had that issue with two cars sold them both now waiting for another one and unsure whether they have fixed it it’s a high voltage problem between the 12 V and the main battery module

Jes sayin. Sorry..

I parked my new 2022 Mustang Mach GT so I could grab lunch, was in the restaurant for 20 minutes. Come back out to leave and the car wont start. The speedometer readout screen says "Stop Safely Now" can't move the car out of park. Stuck now. Battery is at 84%. It's only like 75 degrees outside. Only have 2869 miles and only had like 3 weeks! Someone help!
bummer!

- pull the rear and drivers side beauty covers in the Frunk....
- have *anybody with jumpers* hook up to your 12v connection points for 20 minutes with their vehicle running to charge your LVB

- THEN fire up and get to your Dealer for sw updates so that LVB gets charged correctly and/or they can check diagnostics for HVBJB error codes.

There is a checklist on this forum for steps to take. This issue has never been corrected since car was first shipped. At some point, please file a complaint at nhtsa.gov to force a recall. This is the one issue that terrified me with this car, getting stuck at a random day.

Good luck.

Once you get TSB 21p22 done by Dealership you *should* be ok in most cases for HV->LVB from what I've sifted out of the threads. You just have to check carefully that the Dealership actually suceeded in updating ALL the modules in the TSB.

Really awesome how we help each other on the forum. You can't be there personally, but your digital support is amazing!

Sorry you're dealing with this. I've been there (twice) already, so I can relate. I highly recommend reaching out to @Ford Motor Company; they have been good to follow up and help expedite repairs by putting their engineers in contact with the dealership's service center. It's possible your car will be in the shop for at least a week or two, so demand a loaner or have them reimburse you for a rental car.

It sucks having a new (and relatively expensive) car leave you stranded. I hope your tow goes well and that the dealership gets you fixed up in short order.

One quick bit of advice: if the dealership chalks it up to a software issue only, demand that they check the HVBJB and the other high voltage hardware.

If OP only had the car a few weeks wouldn’t that update be applied already?

My sentiments exactly! If it's a software issue, then the update should have already been applied. If it's hardware, this issue was reported in the early Job 1 builds so how is it still happening?

Exactly why a complaint should be filed at nhtsa.gov. BTW, the exact same issues were reported to NHTSA regarding Ford Electric Focus and it seems Ford hasn't learned its lesson yet!

How much longer does the excuse that it's a first-generation model hold water???

-ABOVE is the Reason it took 8 hours to get a tow- NO ONE will risk almost $30k in damage

Almost certainly this is another HVBJB. Seems like we are seeing at least 1-2 new MME's a week posting that they're bricked. Hope OP had a good tow truck driver!

I also noticed a few days ago that my screen turned off a few times and then rebooted while driving.
Oh, crap; my screen has rebooted 3x in the last few days while driving. Was hoping it was an OTA. Now I'm nervous.

Have y’all noticed a certain trim this is happening to? Seem like I see mostly GTs? At any rate, it’s a very scary occurrence. OP, I hope this gets resolved quickly.
