Was it a left turn from one freeway to another?Update:
I've now also seen the blue bar on the right (in the same location as the image I posted to start this thread) while the nav was indicating a left turn. Thus it isn't indicating a lane change or a turn coming up. Its just some display artifact.
I get that blue bar all the time and it is consistent. Only while using NAV. Only when a junction is coming up from one freeway to another OR when my freeway exit is approaching. Always 1/2 mile before the junction/exit. Never on surface streets though.
For me, it doesn't seem random at all. I have grown used to it and can predict when it will come on every time. There have been a few times where I was using Adaptive Cruise and Lane Keeping and wasn't paying attention and that blue bar snapped me back into reality. "hey dude! Your junction or exit is coming up! Get ready!"
More than a few times I have had problems moving over to make my junction or exit because other drivers form a cocoon around me. I think they are checking out the car. I see them taking photos, pointing and waiving etc. It's kinda cool but also kinda a nuisance because I need to get over and make my exit.
