Is it normal for the car to think the speed limit in your garage is 65mph?
tbf you don't know how big his garage is or how it drives in it

I get thats what it probably should be going off for. But that's not the case, at least in my car.

Sitting in my garage, it still randomly flashes. I'm not passing any intersections, no info on the main screen to look over at. Just random. It doesn't happen as much sitting in one spot. It took a few minutes for it to happen but every few minutes, it does flash up for me. I just went out right now to take this pic.

Take a picture of the screen next to it. The large display.

Here is a video of how the blue bar pops in and out for me:

And my car: that is the exact behavior I've been experiencing.
I decided to try Sync Navigation on my commute to work this morning.

The blue bar was flickering on and off randomly as I was about a mile or so from the next highway to highway ramp exit. Really odd.

Google Maps through AA seems to be working better as an alternative to Sync nav for now, although the navigation voice stutters and clips in and out sometimes.

The only issue I have with the on-board nav is that blue bar and it really doesn't bother me much. I was just posting here to make note of it.

I pretty much use the on-board nav every time I need navigation.

I've had my car 2 days and have noticed this blue bar as well. I didn't really notice a correlation between the bar showing up and any nav instructions, especially since it happens when I'm not navigating.

My working theory, at least in my case, is that it's related to the lane departure warning. I've found that if I get close to either side of the road shortly after the lane departure goes back to normal the blue bar will flash. I did also notice this with lane centering on, but I'm guessing it comes up when the car has to make corrections.

It doesn't bother me that much, but it is irritating enough that I have to look at my display to see what I missed.

The blue vertical line appears to be a notification, like Alexa when she turns on her circle light for notifications. On mine, the blue bar comes up at junctions, merges, and turns. I believe it means, "Hey, you need to look at my screen for quick direction changes." I have the guidance voice turned off, don't know if that makes any difference.

It isn't functioning correctly. Should only appear when using Nav. It is part of the JunctionView feature. Many users are hoping it gets corrected with one of the upcoming OTAs.

I have looked at the SYNC software version in cars where the Nav functions fine and compared to cars that are reporting problems. The software numbers appear to be the same so no smoking gun there...
The order in which the navigation packages are listed in the software listing is out of order so "maybe" that is a contributing factor? ???

I would like to know build dates for cars where the nav bar works correctly and dates where it is glitchy. I have a suspicion but need more data.

My car was built on 11-18-20 and it had it's SYNC hardware changed and/or reprogrammed on 1/7/21.
@KAustin is your nav bar appearing normally or is it random like the others are experiencing?

Here is a screen shot from the SYNC software report for my car.
For the Software part.....it used to say EOL (End of Line). It recently changed to OTA. I last looked at this screen about 7 or 10 days ago so it changed sometime since then.

Is anyone able to help me understand the difference between "Last Recorded State-Software" and "Last Recorded State-Hardware"?

My car was one of the pre-OKTB builds that then got parked for about a month until the OKTB certification and inspection process was cleared. Then it sat for a while longer, presumably to have whatever campaign performed related to the SYNC Hardware. Was released from the plant on Jan 21st. Every other pre-OKTB car that I have looked at....(maybe 5 or 6), have the same SYNC thing (hardware installation date in Jan just prior to being released from the plant)

Built 1/8. All modules were updated Friday Feb 26 with the major Stop Ship order from Ford. Picked up my car that afternoon. Blue bar only shows at turns, merges, highway divergences, and offramps

Okay thanks.
When you say "turns".....does that include surface streets or just when making turns while driving on major thoroughfares such as freeways, parkways etc?

I ONLY see the blue bar when I am traveling on a freeway where it is possible to miss the exit if I am not in the correct lane(s).

Blue bar not showing at turns, only offramps or forks in the road. At the same time, a small window opens up on the main screen showing the offramp. The small window and the blue bar go away at the same time.

Sounds normal. Blue bar and the small window in the main screen appear exactly 1/2 mile from the turn?

From the offramp or transition road.
