I think I could have worded it better. I say the failures are a good thing because it is forcing Ford to replace them with an updated part. As I have said above, I think it would have been a disaster to put out a recall that sent all MMEs into the dealer at once for this type of replacement.No way, none of those things are excuses for a bricked $50k+ vehicle.
