The m3 Lr's I drove rode like gokarts. Not sure if the suspension goes out around 20k but good lord my kid and wife we're sick quick. Wife said she'd rather be in the back. I agreed.
Model 3 and Model Y can be upgraded in the suspension department, such as Ohlins R&T coilovers. Another datapoint for MYP and M3P purchasers

If the bottom hasn’t fallen out of the used car market yet, I’m going to look at trading in for a Y. It was a better car before it cost less than the MME, now it’s an absolute no-brainer unless someone can’t get past their Elon hatred.
Then why did you buy an MME?

At the time I ordered (Oct 2021), the MME cost less than the Y, qualified for the full $7500 federal tax credit, and I have D plan. For my total purchase price which was substantially less than a Y at the time, the MME was a better value, even though a slightly inferior car (IMO).

Wouldn't buy a Tesla regardless the price. They are every car on the road here in Seattle. On to of that they are ugly, uncomfortable and build quality is awful.
People buy what the want, need and can afford. That's going to be different for everyone and that's why there is such a variety to choose from. Don't know why everyone gets so worked up. Get what you want and don't worry about anyone else.
Love my Mach E

If you factor in tax credit it’s the lowest a MYLR has ever been
It might be lowest price ever, but that does not change the fact that initial statement I replied to was incorrect : Quote "every other auto company is increasing their EV prices 20% year over year. Tesla just reduced theirs by 20%…."

I said that Tesla just brought prices back to their original level.
For example, I bought Model 3 RWD last year for $39.9k - The price went up to $48k, today it is $43.9k - it is still $4k (or ~10%) higher that it was.

The statement is also incorrect in that every other manufacturer is increasing their prices 20%.

Right? Folks make this point like they are smartest guy in the room. Then you remind em of the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV dropping in price as well, plus now qualifying for 7500 too.

Just because your favorite brands may be going in one direction doesn't mean they all are.

This is great news for people that want a Tesla 3 or Y.
Exactly what it means for the MME or any other EV is up for debate. See these 18 pages as evidence. LOL.
I doubt that the S and X price reductions are game changers for buyers in that price range. Everyone loves to save money, but my guess is that those in the $100k+ car market are gonna buy what they want.
Similarly I would argue that most MME/e-tron/i-pace/(insert other higher priced EV here) buyers made their purchase decision based on the car they liked the best. If price were the primary driver of the decision they could've gone with a Bolt/Leaf/id4.

Funny that my dealer called me yesterday that my 'car' arrived... I am not sure if I want to take delivery now.
Got to be honest, I kind of feel like I dodged a bullet not taking delivery.

Dang brave soul, I'd love to replace our minivan with another BEV but I have family living about 2 hours away. I can *maybe* make a round trip without charge stops (given warm weather) but in an emergency (God forbid) I'd need either more range in batteries or an ICE.
Would they let you charge at their residence with the mobile charger? Maybe barter with some baked goods/beers/money as appropriate? Might be enough to tide you over even at L1, unless you’re doing a day trip.

I am surprised they didn't shave another $2k off the Model Y Performance. It would be a pretty tempting proposition at $47,500 after tax credit.

I think at 56990, even without the tax credit, that's a good value proposition for what it offers as a package. If they had it qualify for the tax credit I think the price would be too close to the LR AWD to account for the jump in demand to ramp up production of performance variants without impacting quarterly delivery metrics. (parts availability specific to performance variants)

Yeah, lots of them here on Long Island too. IMHO they need to refresh the style, they all look the same to me. Love the look of the MME.
