Then maybe you should put more care into what you say, so that it more closely matches what you mean. ?‍♂
Nah - then what we have to talk about ?

Some times you guys are so literal - "Its not what I say, its what I mean"
Well this makes sense.

Next time you say the wrong thing, we should realize it’s OUR fault for not assuming that you really meant to say the “right thing.”

Thanks for clearing things up!

He didn’t say indigogo though, did he?
Kickstarter charges "meets its funding goal and the funding period ends". Production has nothing to do with it, if we are going to be picky about it. A campaign can take all the money and spend if on hookers and blow and that would be that. To quote the Kickstarter site:

We do not assess the viability of a creator’s project, monitor how they use funds, or reimburse backers if creators violate their agreement with backers, or are unable to fulfill rewards as planned.

Like any of this matters. Is this really what we're arguing about? It was a valid point in context. FSD is a prepaid hope and dream.

FSD = Functional Some Day ?
50 years ago FORD meant one of two things

F****d On Race Day , or
Fix Or Repair Daily

the one I had in the 90’s was a good solid car , hopefully the MME is the same

fun TSLA fact.

the day of the Semi/Roadster reveal the stock was at roughly $340/share. 12/14/2017
now a lot of people paid $50k in the following days to reserve a "2020" roadster (leave the semi out of this equation for the moment).

since then the stock has split 5 ways and is currently around $750 per share. adjusting for the split, the cost per share on 12/14/17 is $68.

so if instead of giving Elon $50k to hold, while he builds the car you will get in "2020", let's say you just put $50k into TSLA stock. I'll let the finance guys do that math.

but you would have enough to pay for that Roadster outright, if it ever comes to market.

i'm not hating on TSLA or supporting TSLA with this post. just pointing out a fact.

so the illusive, yet to be released, FSD? apply the same theory as above to those who purchased FSD how many years ago?

queue up Cher singing, "If i could turn back time....."

A car company that began the use of assembly lines over a hundred years ago knows how to handle different configurations efficiently. I imagine they do what I do for any job I have to do:

1. Analyze needs/goals
2. Prioritize based on timing/complexity/deadlines
3. Simplify by grouping like work together so that you encounter the least amount of change.

In other words, I am sure they group orders by configuration, set the assembly line according to the configuration being made, and, once they complete an allotment of that configuration, adapt the assembly line for the next allotted configuration.

It's not rocket science. It's simply a matter of analysis/planning/organization, which Ford has been doing for a very long time.

It also meant First on race day... depended on which vehicle you had. I had a '67 inline 6 coupe Mustang. Easy to work on and keep running. Why I don't have it now is a long story, but it had nothing to do with the car itself.

This is almost exactly what I wanted! Solid roof (live in AZ), 360/BC (want tech), RWD (live in desert, longer range, still great 0-60), Select (within my price range). I’m glad Ford gave us so many choices!!

<Example of oddity - if you want a solid roof + Co-Pilot 360/BlueCruise - You either need to buy a GT regular or a Select and if for some reason you are spending this type of money and don't want Co-Pilot 360/blueCruise you have to buy a Select, GT or GT-PE.

Anyhow- just dropping my 2 cents in. Bored and looking for a reason to ignore my actual work.

My Select AWD (comfort and Tech) is my favorite car I've ever owned, good job Ford .
