Please see https://www.gov.uk/guidance/advisory-fuel-rates

Half the way down the page the advisory fuel rate for BEV is 5p a mile. Wowee! Way to go to incentivise EV use.
I understand the tax free payment depends on who owns the car:

- 45p per mile of you own the electric car personally
- 5p per mile if it’s a company car

What I don’t know is if its a company car that you pay for via salary sacrifice.

Yes, you are correct. I should have linked this page as well https://www.gov.uk/government/publi.../travel-mileage-and-fuel-rates-and-allowances

So 45p when personally owning the car is not too bad. Even though the "fuel" costs less we've still got some servicing and insurance costs etc.

My dealer got further info from Ford regarding the pano roof recall yesterday. He got the full procedure and details of the special kit that he needs to carry out the repair. The plan is for him to do the repair on his demo as a trail run just to make sure he has what he needs and then he will do mine. So hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have a fixed roof and a fully software updated car that will fix, if not all, some of my continuing issues. ? ? ? ?

I’ve given up with Pentagon Steve. I’ve changed my dealer to Bristol Street Motors in Wigan. Much more interested and far better service.

I gave up after I went in was the tailgate only closing once in every umpteen attempts and the service manager said ā€˜it’s the key’.

I questioned him he said the signal was not strong enough. I asked him what could be done and he told me to use the button on the tailgate!
Cheers Dave, that explains a lot! I think I'm going to give up on them too and go to evanshalshaw - the after sales service from our dealer is too poor and I also found parking very poor.

Pentagon told me it would be a 'white glove' job instead of them which I assume means off loaded to autoglass

I would imagine that most dealers wouldn't want to do the windscreen recall as that means removal and refitting and then realignment of the cameras and sensors attached. The roof just needs all of the headlining removed and then more gunk squirted in between the glass and body work. Easy for the dealer ( or most anyway)

Unfortunately we don't get window stickers in the UK (a US Sales info sheet that comes from the factory and is displayed in the car window) - but you can get your build date from www.whereismymme.com

On that site enter your VIN number and hit search. Your build date will be in the "Vehicle Info" tab in the list of data and will be in the format of YYYYMMDD

Hope this helps :)
This is brilliant, thanks so much ?

Like many of you my rear pads are becoming badly grooved with the pads sticking overnight (only done 1800 miles...) I need to speak to my dealer next week about the recall. Can anyone let me know the TSB number so I can quote it?

Secondly, I'm with Octopus and thinking about getting a smart charger from them. I'm not on 'go' and probably won't be as with my solar panels I'll save more by sticking with their 'agile' tariff. I think! My current dumb charger is winding me up. It works but I have no control over it for nighttime charging. So in members experience which is the best charger that Octopus offer?

If you have solar then you need a Zappi unit. Gives much more control and options but more expensive of course.

My car went in today for all the updates re CSP 21P22 and the service department noted the pano roof recall. They have me on a list for the roof update to be done but don't have the parts yet. I said I was in no hurry. The service person asked if I wanted to wait until they'd carried out the work on 2 vehicles first. I immediately said that it was a good idea.

I know that they still have the same demo from my test drive back in July 2021 and they have one with a personal number plate with the dealers initials. I wonder if this is the 2 they are going to do first?? It makes sense so let's hope so.

Update

Just noticed that this morning the car charged overnight to 100% when previously before the updates I'd set the charging limit to 90%. Looks like the setting was wiped in the update process. Obviously no problem to re-set back to 90%, just a warning to people that some settings may have been re-set back to default. Something I can do today while it's raining (again).
