I’ve really enjoyed my car, but with COVID I am not really using it like I intended (when I ordered 2 years ago ) so decided to sell. Dealers are offering really good prices for the RWD ER in black so I don’t lose any money!

Just wanted to thank everyone on here, especially the regular posters! You’ve all been so helpful.
I am sure I will own a facelift model in a couple of years, but best of luck with the OTAs for now. I hope Ford manage to iron them out ASAP!
You're only loss will be the car insurance payments?

Will you make a profit when you allow for the £3k government subsidy?

How long did they have the car to do the 21P22 updates? Were they all done in one day or did they keep it for longer?
Left it at 7.30am and collected at 3.30pm. They did manage to give me a fossil courtesy car for the day.

Sorry if I scared you all with the windscreen & roof repair procedure.

Mine is being picked up this Weds to have the roof done as my dealership has a supply of the foam strips required.

I’ll post some before and after photos for you all.?

yeah, interested in this too. i don't intend to sell but will be good to know market prices. the used car sites aren't accurate imo.

Is there a way to use Voice Commands to turn off the heated steering wheel and the heated seats? You can set the cabin temperature by saying ‘Set temperature to…’, but it seem a little crazy not to have commands for other things which would avoid the momentary distraction from driving whilst you touch the screen button for the heated seat and then select Off for example.

Thanks Jonno21. As everything on the touch pad is software controlled I am surprised Ford haven’t implemented such commands. Anything to avoid the driver being distracted from the road ahead.

Is there a way to make online improvement suggestions directly to Ford?
Yes, I agree it would be beneficial to have more voice commands available. Regarding online improvements suggestions I'm not sure as we used to have Hannah as the Concierge/contact but she's now left Ford. Perhaps other forum peeps might have an answer? :)

Got £46k from WBAC (paid £46,990), but considering it’s 7 months old with 5.5k miles, I see that as a profit when including utility and usage from it. All the best everyone! ✌

Finally managed to get in touch with my dealer today about the recall.

Apparently my car has 2 outstanding recalls- windscreen and roof, plus a software 'recall' that needs to be done?

Any ideas anyone? It's no good me asking as the reception staff are clueless at details ? Anyway just to make her day I told her that my rear pads and discs are eating themslves and according to a TSB need to be replaced and to finish up I told her that Lisa Branklin (who? was the response!) wrote to us and told us the dealer had to pick up and collect our cars for the recalls and that I'm not prepared to drive a 60 mile round trip each time!

Her response- I need to look into all this and get back to you! I think I worried her when I said that most of the Mach E's they sold last year at least will be coming back for work...

It's a good thing I'm retired and don't depend on the car!

MME RR ER RWD ?

Hi all,

And a belated Happy New Year ?

As it's a New Year, I thought I would check out some issues I've had for a few months now (having had the car for 7 months and 4,000+ miles)!

Ford Pass App - Charging schedule
This no longer shows the Charge times I have set up - I have set both "time windows" but the app shows nothing (as per the image) although the car does show them correctly.

I am 90% sure the Ford Pass App used to show the times you had set (similar to the fact it shows any Departure Times). Can anyone confirm this please?

I guess not everyone will use the FPA to schedule charging (?) but sadly - having bought the Ford Wallbox Charger - this is the only way (outside of the car itself) to set a charge schedule ?

The other issue (which I also have reported) is that with the FPA you can only charge "on the hour" - not great when the Octopus Go EV tariff is from 00:30 to 04:30!

Navigation - shows dotted line from earlier journeys
I think this was discussed elsewhere but couldn't find any references via the search option, so apologies if I have missed something here.

If I happen to retrace any journeys, the Navigation often shows a "dotted line" showing the previous route/journey.

Does anyone else have this, and any thoughts on how to stop this e.g. should I reset the main SYNC screen?

Other than the above, I am dreading the various pano/windscreen recalls. Having seen the TSB "instructions" (many thanks @Wonky_Donkey ) I am not very confident the car will be returned in an "as new" condition - so will be taking various photos before it goes in ..... haven't plucked up the courage to book it in yet ?

I have also suffered the "brakes sticking" on a few occassions as I predominantly use OPD (easy enough to free them by braking) so my rear disks are somewhat scarred, so may add this to my "recall list"!

Many thanks for any help,
Best wishes,
David

Hiya

I don’t have a home charger, so that’s one area I’ll defer to someone else. I can help with a couple of the others…..

Dotted lines on Navigation (breadcrumb trail)
This is customisable option you can turn on or off yourself. I think it defaults to “on” from the factory. To switch it off…

Open Navigation App
Open the Options Menu
Tap “Settings”
Tap “Map Layers”
Scroll down the list and de-select “Trip Log”
… and your dotted lines should disappear :)

I have screenshots if it helps - but these are from the latest version of Sync which looks a bit different from the menus most of you might be using.

Panoramic roof works
Big Red is being picked up by the dealership at 8.30am tomorrow (Wed 12th) to have this done. I’ll report back what kind of job they make of it ?

Hope this helps
