Spoke to Rebecca yesterday. We should be OK as the more recent orders are protected. Has helped make up my mind about which order to keep.I've had the same email from Hannah and what concerns me is why are they only talking about orders placed up to 17th February? I placed my order on 9th March, and as far as I'm aware there was absolutely no sign that the government were going to change the rules on the 18th, and the website let me order with the grant discounted. What happens to those of us who ordered in good faith between 18th Feb and 18th March? I asked Hannah in case the date was wrong and she said " I have put 17th February, and that is correct. That is what the Government have given as the guidelines for the next steps in the grant change for our customers. We are still awaiting answers on this. "
I know the grant change isn't Ford's fault, but I don't feel they are dealing with it very well - I don't know how many orders are affected, and how much it would cost Ford if they were to honour the price we were quoted, but I think they should do the right thing and cough up the £3000!
I hope we hear of a decision before the long Easter weekend when I doubt any of the decision makers will be working!
For me, no grant = no Mach E and all this hassle is spoiling the excitement of waiting for this brilliant car!
A question to anyone else who will have to cancel if the grant price isn't honoured, how long are you going to risk leaving cancelling in case you lose your £1000 deposit? This is another reason why we need a decision ASAP!
