I am now on the verge of ordering a Model 3 to tie me over until the Model Y is released next year then sell it and get the Y. (Teslas hold their value really well). I'm really just fed up with Ford and their complete balls up of the ordering process. Audi announced their Q4s last week, i'm willing to bet customers who preorder will be driving them before Xmas. June will be final straw, if it goes into July, I'm going to view that as a sign, it's just not meant to be.

Quick story about me being a smart arse; I was talking EV's with a small group of friends (less than 6) and one of them said, "What's Mach-e?" to which I answered "932 metres per second there about"... and carried on chatting... well I thought it was funny... he looked confused.

Just heard from him. Moved to 29th
oh well... there goes our May Bank Holiday EV trip away. :-( Mine will be the same I'm sure. Frustrating they are 6 1/2 hour drive away. Do you think we could steal them and just drive them over?

Ford sent a memo to all dealers after the arrival of the Grande Houston stating that ALL MME'S, we assume that means ALL and not just those for UK, were going to be subject to "additional QC checks" and that dealers should ignore the estimated delivery date on vista and tell customers to expect delivery of their cars 5 -10 weeks after arrival in Antwerp. Apologies to those who had cars on the GH but I can't remember when she docked. I can however remember when my car, which was on the IMMACOLATA, arrived and that was 30 March. 10 weeks from that date is 8th June. There have been a few people today saying that their car was on the same ship and that they have heard from their dealer to say their delivery has been pushed back from mid May to mid June. I am imposing a deadline. If my car hasn't been fixed, sorry, I mean QC'd and passed as fit for purpose by 8th June I will, reluctantly, pull the plug. I have had enough. This whole experience has been nothing short of disastrous for a number of reasons, one or two admittedly not Fords' fault, but mostly theirs. It is a shame because it has the potential to be a very good car. If this is the way forward then I will never buy another Ford. And I say that with a heavy ❤. Even if they do deliver it in time I am rapidly coming to the stage of wondering if I will enjoy the car or whether it will turn out to be a huge let down. Time will tell. Over to you Ford. The ball is in your court.
Like you Grahame I have been in from the start. I have finally decided to throw in the towel.
unfortunately my enthusiasm waned. I have heard nothing about my car built last December from Ford or Dealer. No direct confirmation of Ford covering the grant. No details of the QC checks being undertaken. Software update or rebuild! Coupled with the US forum members reports of software, screen noise, panoramic roof alignment, noise and cracking, charging profile and errors, ride quality.
I do not want to get to the stage of arguments with the dealer if the car does not appeal or has faults. It seems to me that 6 months from manufacture to delivery, on and off transport with engineers in and out tweaking things is too much risk.
There are a number of other cars to consider later in the year. Also if the MachE gets good reports on the forum maybe I’ll come back. I’m in no rush.
Good luck to all who stay the course and I’ll be interested in reactions to production vehicles.

Well, at least you’re still in the same month.?? ?

I wonder why mine seems to be taking 3 weeks longer than most other people??

Hi All, I’m new to the forum and in the same boat as most. My car was on the Immacolata, I’m waiting for an update from the dealer but I suspect it’s the same as you’ve all been saying... very frustrating!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello!

Certainly seems strange. If it is coming from Dagenham perhaps they are anticipating a longer delay to get a load together to your dealer

Stay in touch and I am sure you will get to know what experiences that those who do actually take delivery have.

My black one also showing mid June now. I’m guessing takes another 3 weeks to make sure it’s good enough to meet the higher standards expected in Scotland........??

is that Vista eta date also allowing for time at the dealership to get it ready for hand-over?
The vista date is always week ending and usually a Saturday, so in theory it could be delivered to dealer anytime from the Monday. My dealer thinks that they might be doing PDI's in Antwerp if you go by the destination code, ANT QPDI , which would just leave a clean and sticker removal. Who needs a handover. We probably know more than most dealers. PDI'S don't take long anyway. My current Kuga came off the transporter at 1345 and I collected it at 1630.
