Mine never leaves my pocket. As long as the key fob is within the range of the car you don't need the key fob to unlock the door. The car will pick up the signal from the key fob so you just push the button to open the door. Likewise you don't need the key fob to lock the car. Just push the padlock symbol on the doors. Or you can play with the key in your pocket, whatever takes your fancy. It's just YOU have to lock the car, it won't do it for you when you are out of range.

So the manual is telling porkies

22nd! Getting excited. It isn't quite the same as getting our one, and that's what I'm most excited for, but it's getting closer.
Meanwhile they have no idea how long my car will take and it isn't looking promising, so they are on the lookout for other RWD SR cars that become available. I won't hold my breath.

So far the only thing I'm really missing on my RWD ER is the Walk-Away Lock. No options in settings that I can find and it definitely doesn't lock when I walk away. The VIN filtered user guide says it should be there and work with passive key though?! Anyone else found anything different?

Walk away lock appears to dependent on Phone As A Key from the searching I've been doing on the online manual.

They have my car.
They’ve been given ‘permission’ to run the update.
They aim to get it to me for the end of the month.
Is anyone else’s dealer this slow!
My dealer says she’s working with limited information….tell me about it!?

Mine was the same!! You'd hope Ford would support their dealers get this done quickly, but clearly not. Today is 19 months to the day since I placed my order. Trying not to get too annoyed as we're really on the home straight now - think I'll get mine at some point next week.

Yes it is exciting to read of members collecting their cars, and also the real life pictures! I'm still dreaming at the moment, the process for me has been painfully slow. At least my MME has had it's eCall fix, has completed QPDI, and is now waiting on customs checks. Expected in Flushing by the end of next week. Might get it for Christmas!

Yeah I saw that as well. That would be great but I think my nearest Ionity charger is about 150 miles away so pointless as far as I'm concerned!

I know we all get frustrated and have a moan at times, and I agree Ford could not have screwed up this launch any more if they tried... But I must say Hannah, and my dealership have been absolutely fantastic all the way through. Always courteous and prompt in their responses even when the number of emails I sent probably amounted to harassment! They have worked so hard to resolve issues we had with Ford Lease and have really pulled out all the stops of us. If it wasn't for people like them I don't think we would have stuck it out for this car.

Just got this from my dealership today, it's my wife's space white and my business partners rapid red.
