A different animal to normal cars.

As @portlandg says, there is nothing to service.

I’ve heard it said that Tesla don’t have any service schedule at all.

They just tell you to contact them if you have an issue. ??
Thing is, I have to consider that mine’s used effectively as a works van, hauling half a tonne of tools for 90% of its c41k so far, going into salvage yards, searching for abandoned vehicles in rough terrain sometimes so its use is not normal. Finally spoke to dealer who said they had done the recall Ford just wrote to me about which I suspected they had, so that’s a left & right hand issue, and we agreed that they will do an inspection in a couple of weeks rather than a full service just to ensure all’s well which is fine because I check tyre condition & pressures, lights, frequently change the wipers and generally look around once a week at most. Just nice to have the technical Mach-e man see it more often tha every 60k. Happy motoring y’all!

just tried to book in to alty evanshanshaw and they 'don't have a trained specialist so Ford have told them to recommend customers go to the old trafford branch.

I said I know someone who is bring theirs in this thursday for the same issue.

and how I'd already been in about it and told to install updates via a usb stick which never worked and had thus contracted ford after that time waster.

privilege and they are very good.
How much with Privilege? I may only need insurance for a few months more after Admiral’s expiry when the trade value loses another £7k and it can go on my motor trade insurance I need for inspecting & road testing Clients’ cars for free.

I've banged on 1800 miles in the Kia in 2 weeks, Ford said that I can claim the difference back (between ICE v Electric costs), no idea how yet but will ask tomorrow.

Any south west owners here (other than me) who have a job 1 car?

If so is your dealer Vospers in Plymouth and have you had trouble with the dreaded 1.6-1.7 problem?

If so did Vospers get it sorted?

I'm booked in for December but as you can see they don't sound confident.
Well I dropped off my MME at Evans Halshaw, Alty this afternoon for them to try and fix the blocked 1.6/1.7 software issue tomorrow. They advised I was very fortunate as they were getting in a specialist and they had been told by Ford not to book anymore.
The history was that they initially refused to carryout the TSB until I contacted Ford directly. They then gave me a September appointment but when they got the car they could not do the TSB as they didn't have the cables required. They said they would order the kit but then I heard nothing. After a further call to Ford, they gave me the appointment tomorrow. So let's see what happens.

Very similar to myself, I had to contact ford to object to how they'd told me to download the updates to a USB stick and then install which of course was B/S and didn't work.

Not unexpected. We will start paying VED/Road Tax, whatever you want to call it, from 2025. Fingers crossed that it will be a "sensible" rate
