There's more than just the 4 people. Theres a few different threads as well. It would appear that in the mix of messing with all the other modules they may well have again botched a group of them as outliers. I'm way more happy with the way my MME drive after the HVJB (job1 life FTW.. )but I think I randomly feel some kind of wonkiness in my regen. Randomly it just doesn't have the slow down it normally would, which causes me to hop on the old school pedal, which results in the car feeling like it's flipping between regen and friction brakes but letting go (coasting) in the transition of it. Not the same thing as the OP but it's there. First couple times I thought it was me, now I know how to force it. (Before the doesn't work at 100% charge peep chime in I only charge to 85% and this surely started after the repairs)

The Problem needs to be dealt with and repaired ASAP it is a major part and advantage of driving an EV.

I had the HVBJB recall performed at the end of January on my '21 Premium AWD Extended Range MME. I have been using 1PD since before and after this recall without any glitches as described in this thread. Nearly all of that road time was in colder winter weather and a brisk spring.

I will say that I never expect the automatic regen braking from 1PD to always be sufficient to bring the vehicle to a complete stop, although in many cases that is the regular result. Readiness to engage the brake pedal is my normal posture as is the case in any/all of the ADAS features incorporated in the MME. Anything less is tempting fate, IMHO.

I'd say 10 days later is in the ballpark of right after, especially if you never had the problem before the recall.

It's about expectations. I doubt I would be in a situation where suddenly losing OPD would cause an accident, but if muscle memory has taught me exactly the amount of distance I need to slow down in OPD, and the car suddenly launches forward during that process it's clearly dangerous. Flippant "just use the brakes!" comments are unhelpful. And yes, losing OPD would be a major problem for me, it's a large part of why I enjoy driving the car.

The HVBJB recall was completed on my car today. I pick it up tomorrow. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for this issue. In 3 years of driving my car, I have never experienced a one-pedal drive fault. Thanks to the OP and others for bringing this to our attention.

But for 4 different people to chime in on a 3 page forum post with the same issue. That's a pretty high percentage.

Make it at least five! (Probably 6-7 or more given others who chimed in after you posted). I've had this happen to me maybe 4-5 times in about 16 months of ownership. I haven't had an HVJB failure and am not in the recall group (I have an October 2022 build GT). It appears to be happening much more often for some who have had the recall, and I'm confident that particular bug will be fixed.

I'm not confident that my "once every three months or so" frequency will be fully resolved as there must be many reasons and possible faults that could cause this issue, but it would be nice if it is.

It was very disconcerting the first couple of times, but I think I've become more attuned and ready for the possibility of it happening. Still something that would be nice if it were fixed.

I have heard of this on FB as well.

Service dept will tell the affected owner to not use 1PD as it will disengage.

While they wait for a part, they are supposed to use 2PD driving.

no kidding ... who'd have thought to use ... 2 pedals ....
