When will Mach-E owners be able to open the frunk using Fordpass app?

I was in the camp of probably not going to use the frunk much, but use it all the time when grocery shopping also has the benefit of unload the car quicker when pulling into to garage as everything is closer to the door.

I do not have the button on the ford pass app but do have the button on the UI access screen to pop the frunk. Hopefully the ford pass app version is better than the UI as I find it is way faster to just open the door and double pull the lever as the UI acess method takes forever as 99% of the time pushing the frunk release does nothing the first time and that is after you have waited ages for the access menu to fully populate to begin with. Ford seriously needs to up its tech game as having a useful convenience feature controlled via a slow and clunky interface turns it into an inconvenient feature.

I think I have used it once since I got the car. But this is what it looks like when you eventually get it:

I'm in the UK 2021 model and don't have any of the options along the bottom.

I don’t know if there’s a video. Just enter your code and then hit the 7-8 button (assuming you don’t have a 2021 Job 1).
I believe I'm a job 1 car. At least I was forced to look up my B pillar code :) But Alas the 7-8 button does not work on my lowly Job 1 car.

Now, if there were a quick button next to the headlight switch (or on the driver door), it would be faster and useful. But the app, not so much. Even better - a button by the hood somewhere.
My Paak has been wonky. I've only had the car four days so it could be operator error. That being said, I still carry a fob in my pocket. I do not want to get stuck somewhere unable to get into or drive my car home. So I wish there was a frunk release option on the fob.

I also read in these forums that pressing 7-8 on the number pad is supposed to open it but that has not worked for me.

That's why we bought $59,000 cars.

If we wanted fewer features and more effort, we'd have saved our money and bought something cheap.
Might wanna buy from another manufacturer then, Mustangs have never been known for luxury. You know, it's a real Mustang! ?

That's why I didn't buy a real Mustang. Hell, I could have bought TWO real Mustangs for the price of this one. This is far, far nicer than a real Mustang. It's almost a luxury car, that just shares some aesthetic Mustang design elements (and the name).

Which is good because that's what I liked. ?

LOL I'm just messing with you, I'm sure it's frustrating to not have what you expected the car to come with as included equipment and features.

The biggest obstacle to using the frunk daily is CLOSING IT. While the F-150 opens and closes electronically, just like the trunk on the Mach-E, the frunk opens and closes manually. Opening is no big deal (with the button or even pulling the handle twice), but closing it for many is a challenge. My wife won't use it because she doesn't want to slam it, and she is worried about denting it if she pushed on it - plus she doesn't want to leave 2 handprints that I'll see...

I haven't played with the bumpers on the 2022 to adjust so it closes easier, but still, it's a pain.

We also have ours mostly full. Emergency blanket, jumper cables (when traveling), trim tools, 50 foot extension cord for 110v (when traveling), TeslaTap, fire extinguisher, and a bottle of V8. ;)

I’m convinced ford wants to just forget about job 1 cars.
I wouldn’t say that, yet. The blue cruise updates are rolling now and after that really the only outstanding issue is the Frunk. If they hadn’t recently mentioned it coming via an OTA update I would be more worried.

I’m hoping once the Blue Cruise updates are mostly done they will push out a small update for the frunk. I’ve asked several times but no one seems to know what module actually controls the electronic release. We know they have added the app and sync buttons before in past updates, so all that should be necessary is the actual module that controls the release.

Anyone know why my 22 doesn't have the other buttons, just Horn & Lights?

I have an Android and the latest version.
The other buttons only work when BT is connected.
