I have a 2021 MY AWD and the fit and finish are perfect and the car's been reliable. It handles well but to me doesn't have much what I describe as "road feel."

We've been considering a replacement for my wife's Volt and got a chance to test drive a Mach e AWD in January. I was impressed with its road feel that was far superior to the MY. So I put in an order for one on 1/6/22.

I've also reserved a BMW i4 e40 (RWD, 300 mi EPA rated) and will be able to test drive one in a couple weeks. Having had 2 Beemers recently their build quality and road handling have to be experienced to be believed. So the plan is to sell the Volt when the Mach e ( or the i4) arrives then make a decision about selling the MY when the other EV arrives.

It's a Ford and had a tax credit.

I'm not a Ford snob and will definitely consider other brands for future EV purchases. Unless some styling changes occur it likely will not be a Tesla tho

How about “ Because it’s NOT a Tesla! Lol
This should be included unless we're all PC now 'cause we don't want to be banned from twitter.
Maybe tweets will become musks from now on?

Needed a car, wanted to finally go full BEV, love the form, function, fit and finish that can be had from a company that builds cars with tech and not the other way around. Plus, this'll be my 4th mustang so yeah, I have a soft spot for the pony on the grill.

I was wondering why that didn't make the poll list!

Seriously, I would have also thought the choices should include:
Ride quality
Charging Choices
Interior

I've talked with Mach-E owners and heard those as reasons they picked the Mach-E.

I trust Ford. I have always hesitated to buy a Tesla, it’s a young company. ( Not a fan of Elon) Teslas just don’t do it for me and the closest service center is an hour away. The price keeps going up but I see nothing of value accounting for the increase. My local Ford dealer is only 10 minutes away. I love the look of the car. I think Ford is truly trying to make the best car possible. They seem to actually care what their customers think and want from the car. I’ve never bought a Kia, Hyundai, or really any foreign car. Mainly… it’s a mustang! ? Never cared for the muscle car to own, but they looked cool. I think the mustang Mach-E looks cool and more comfortable. I think this car will keep getting better and better.

Wanted to go EV and needed an SUV-type. Wife is getting a Model Y so I wanted something that actually looks good . Also, the Mach-E is much more comfortable than the MY.
I have never liked Ford vehicles nor cared much for the Mustang. However, the Mach-E seemed like it checked most of the other boxes so thought I would give it a shot.

All of the above.
The mustang name made me curious enough to look at it.
The SUV made it a practical vehicle for me so I could consider buying it.
The tech made it progressive enough that I could see myself driving it.
The drive meant I HAD TO HAVE ONE.

100% bc it is an electric crossover with good space in the back seats and trunk area and was eligible for the full federal tax credit.

0% bc it is a mustang, although the cool pony logos and mustang styling turned it from a probable purchase to a no-brainer.
