I hadn't seen this posted yet... but this showed up on my FE this afternoon and I installed it tonight. It looks like the recall software is going out OTA now.

Good news!

FYI from past updates, 1-pedal drive may be disabled after the OTA since the powertrain modules were updated, so your car may creep when put in gear and you release the brake. Your drive modes and charging locations may also be reset with the updates.

Is there any way to force a check for updates? We have a schedule set (every Sunday night), but I would like to get this one ASAP.

The only way to “force” it is to go for a drive. That will usually trigger it to check. For me on the east coast updates would always show up after 3pm.
The schedule you have set is for installing updates that require the car to be off and not in use for a period of time. It doesn’t impact when it will check.

Drive the car in an area with AT&T LTE coverage. Car must be driven to check for updates, I think they usually try to install right after you park unless they require a time scheduled (at night). Everyone should schedule a time.

Got it - thanks. Yeah, we have a weekly schedule set (Sunday mornings at 1am) and have pretty good AT&T coverage. Sounds like I need to go for a drive!

Great news!

This update includes a fix for that as well! So updates after this one should no longer have that happen.

Can you schedule it for every night at 1 am. I think I tried that but only let me set one night

Have to recheck when I get home

If only there was a place for Ford to indicate such a fix was implemented... hmmm.

I mean really - why can't Ford get it together when it comes to Change Logs? Most other manufacturers seem to have little issue.

Yes - you can set it for daily at a certain time:

Well unless you're still rockin' an older Sync version that doesn't allow that.

There are some cars still out there....never been updated.....

That might be me. Bringing my car in for software Update for non robust battery part (Hope I am not making a mistake ) Will have other software updated at that time
