Is this the old ride? Really surprised they are listing it that low, even if it did have a bit of a fender bender. Wonder if that is a KY/local-market thing or something the rest of us should expect when selling our FE's.
That is the car. I am local to the car and the one that posted about the GT the OP purchased.
I am a little surprised it is priced that high, considering sticker was $59,800 minus the $7500 tax credit that the used car is not eligible for.
Also, as the OP mentioned, they gave him $48k trade in, so they have room to play with and still make a profit on the car.

did you say the remote front trunk release on the GT actually works? If so, does the GT ship with FOBs with an extra button to open the front trunk? Or do you only get an extra soft button in FordPass?
Is the US FOB different from the Europe FOB? This is the FOB I got with my car (Norway). The frunk opening button doesn't work though.

That is cool!! Interesting to see that such a remote exists.

The North American version has the panic button instead. I’d gladly give up the panic button on the key fob for the frunk open button!

Does everyone with PAAK not have to carry any other keys for home or work? Do you all have PAAK home locks too? If so, do they work better than the mach e? I have a keycode lock on house entry inside my garage but it has reliability problems, batteries die, etc. so always carry a physical key anyways.

Yes, my cost was $70 for the fob and $75 for programming at a dealer. The biggest issue was getting an appointment at the dealer, one that would do it while I wait (20 minutes). Fobs are dependable, cell phones not so much.
I had my car since July 26th and never used the FOB other than to program PAAK. In the beginning it was a problem. 80% of the time I could only open front door by opening back passenger door first. Then I read on here the fix for that is to disconnect the battery for a min I did that and now it works great. I never stopped only using PAAK and my experience is now 100%. I will say I don't use CarPlay even though I have a iPhone. I often wonder if that is part of the PAAK issues but I am just speculating. I also went to dealer yesterday to get the update on the car charging noise 21-2288 and that made a huge difference in charging sound. Now I am very happy with everything. Looking forward to Frunk button on PAAK and other good updates. Love the car!

My car FOB is the only key I have. My house has a digital keypad. I don't have anything to unlock besides those two things

Am I the only one who prefers a fob even if PAAK is working perfectly?
Over the years, I have transitioned from having a fat wallet and multiple keys in my pockets to only carrying my phone when I go out

I have digitalized or replaced with apps all my cards (Insurance, Gym, loyalty, etc.) and now only have 2 cards stuck in the back of my phone (Driver's License and Credit card). I even tried eliminating credit card and paying for everything with Samsung Pay, but there are still a few places where it does not work and don't have contactless payments.

My house I have on keypad lock so no more keys

Life without having to carry a bunch of cards and keys is so liberating!

Never carry a key other than a car fob. Two house doors have digital locks and work all the time. The MMR fob is so huge. I believe fobs were much smaller 25+ years ago. I was so happy the MME had Paak until I started using the POS.

I spoke with the dealer about this car and considered purchasing it also even though I have a GT order currently in production. Two things stopped me from going forward:
1) Logistics - I'm in Boise, about 2k miles away. The dealer didn't offer any delivery service that far (at least to me). Driving it back myself would have taken a good 4 days with having to plan a route with sufficient charging stations along the way (plus time for charging). Plus I would have put 2k miles on my new car right away just to get it home. I could have looked into a 3rd party delivery service, but that would have probably added $2k to the price.
2) Trade in challenges - besides the same distance issue (I would have had to drive my car 2k miles to get it there - another 3 or 4 days), the dealer was only offering the bottom end of the KBB value range. They were also trying to convince me that my car, which had only ever been registered in the US (California and Idaho) was somehow a Canadian import which reduced the value. Kinda shady tactics that made me uncomfortable dealing with them, so I decided to pass.

I'm happy that it worked out for you and that you had a good experience with Tim Short Ford - don't think my experience would have been as good. I'll be just as happy for me when my Cyber Orange GT with Pano roof shows up at my local Ford dealer, probably sometime in October.

Even though I am “tech guy” I absolutely hate having to carry my phone. It won’t fit in pay pockets, so I have to physically carry or clip it. I hate both modes of transport. I would much rather have a mechanical key for all of the locks I need to use. It’s just one key, which is so much smaller than my phone. Oh, and the key for my car in addition to that single key also doesn’t take up as much room as my phone.

NFC requires close proximity, it's a glorified RFID. It's not anything like PAAK.

The password backup can take awhile to appear and often takes several cycles of the car. Even when you get the backup code to work it often tells you 'no key detected'. On a small rood trip a couple weeks ago my AA, radio volume, and a few other items froze while driving. I pulled over and cycled the car a few times but could not get my phone, PaaK, or AA to pair and work. I tried removing and re-adding BT many times along with other restarts. Spend 90 minutes in two places along the route trying to fix. It fixed itself while sleeping over night.

Yes I was able to use the backup password but like I said that can take time as it doesn't always appear. In the end I learned a lesson to always take the one fob. Dumb decision on my part not bringing it along. When having a phone with PaaK and a fob in and around the car at the same time brings in other issues. I disabled PaaK as I'm so sick of it, but now many of the app features are gone.

Ford should have never rolled this car out with so many software issues. After a year they are still not fixed. I would love nothing more than a OTA update to fix but Ford doesn't seem able to provide that type of update in a OTA. Nothing really has been fixed this year via OTA and the GT having newer software just shows they are unable to provide OTA fixes at this time. I hope I eat my words soon. Sorry for the long rant but these software issues are a huge fail for Ford.
If this your get a way car in a movie using PAAK, the cops would be there before you could punch in the door code and start password. Lol
