I've wanted to go EV for a while and the MME hits all the checkboxes! Great styling, AWD, physical controls and a display behind the steering wheel, a UI that doesn't feel dated the day you buy the car. Hands-free, eyes-on-the-road cruise control!!

Most wanted features:
  1. Matrix headlights (even if they're disabled until they're approved for us in the US). I've been watching videos of them on the EQC, Polestar 2, and ID3 and it really makes a huge difference in nighttime driving.
  2. 2" tow bar option (for bike rack)
  3. heated wipers/windshield
  4. Heat pump for better cold weather range
  5. HUD
  6. Built-in dashcam
  7. Sentry mode
  8. Cooled seats
  9. 18-inch wheel option on premium (I'm with @Woeo on the comfort front)
  10. Auto-dimming side mirrors.
  11. Camping/dog modes.

I currently own a Tesla Model 3 and wanted another BEV to replace my 2013 Ford Escape. I like the option of a Ford BEV, this will be my sixth new Ford. The MME is close to size of the Escape but has the performance look while still providing the utility when I need it. and the AWD will be nice on the very few occasions we get frozen precipitation in north Texas.

I wished it had ventilated front seats (really enjoyed having these on both an Expedition and Lexus IS) and heated rear seats. I wish there was a better choice of blue for the Premium or a nice green.

Overall it will be fun driving 2 BEV's and now just need to get rid of the 2-cycle chainsaw to be done with gasoline engines for good.

I wanted a bev with good range, enough space for a family of 4 (2 in car seats right now) and at a reasonable price. Bonus points for awd, style, power and service network. The Mach E hits all, and there really isn't any strong competition right now, IMO. MY is closest, but too boring and service network limitations in my area are a turn off. Also have to go to another state to get one.

As a life long mustang guy, I was pleasantly shocked that the family car I was looking for ended up under the mustang brand.

As far as wants, a factory ski rack would be great. And better exterior colors. I nearly waited until the next model year hoping for at least one interesting color. For how many different colors Ford offers across all lineups and how often they change year to year, I am surprised at the limited variety offered.

Mirroring a few others, I work for Ford and have wanted a BEV for some time. So has the wife for that matter, and her car is 3 years and 40k miles older than mine. So I had pretty much decided that we were going to order regardless of what Bill Ford and Idris Elba unveiled last November. I placed a reservation that same evening.

I'd heard some rumblings around the company before hand that they really thought they had a winner, and I think that's been proven right. MME checks a ton of boxes. I REALLY liked what I saw in that CNET snow handling video:
I really like the overall look and feel, I like that it matches or exceeds in areas where Tesla does well, but with style and soul rather than bland minimalism. It felt like the design team really threw out all existing assumptions and created a true original.

What would I like to change?
- Even though I like the overall size, I would have liked it to be more of a shooting brake or sportwagon look - like this concept image: https://www.netcarshow.com/ford/2021-mustang_mach-e/1024x768/wallpaper_72.htm. I'm sure I'll enjoy the higher ride height and bigger interior space in real life, and I know the center of gravity will be plenty low, but MAN would that have looked cool.
- I'm kicking myself for not reserving 2. I truly love my Focus ST and it's been so entertaining, practical, and reliable for me. But it's dawning on me how utterly outclassed it's going to look parked next to the Mach E.

Current car is a hybrid and I told myself my next one would be a BEV. I've been watching Tesla over the past 10 years and was eagerly waiting their more affordable models. When the 3 and Y came out, I wasn't as impressed as I was hoping. I was excited to see the iPace and Polestar 2 as signs that options were coming and I wouldn't be limited to Tesla. Then, I came across a link for an electric mustang. I thought it was a cool concept and clicked to see what it was about. I was very surprised to see a CUV. The design, interior layout and range estimates were very impressive. The more I read/watched about the car and the people making it, the more I was drawn to it.

If all goes well, I will get to own a Mustang and meet by own BEV expectations! I'd call that a good day.

What I would like to see:
* actual range is higher than estimates.
* cooling front seats
* a way to control the car so that it doesn't always unlock when you walk past.

Thanks for the information. I actually have a EGO mower, so I am familiar with the brand.
I've seen that they are selling 2 phase snowblower, is your experience with this make is a good experience and what about their battery ?

I bought the mower 5 years ago, in September 2015, after my 17 year old Honda finally quit. The next summer in 2016 the battery started having issues and would not charge. EGO replaced it under warranty and I have had the replacement ever since, this being the 5th full year using the mower and battery. Just need to replace the blade, but I highly recommend their products. I noticed they even have a "generator" that uses several of the batteries. I went with EGO due to having the 56V battery instead of the 40V that were in many of the other mowers. If I lived in area where I needed a snow blower, I would not hesitate to try their product.
A single charge allows me to cut my yard with power to spare probably using only 50 to 60 percent. My yard is not super big and I have a separate Ryobi battery head that I use with trimmer / edger / blower attachments.

I’ve been looking to move to a full BEV after we bought a Chrysler Pacifica PHEV and realized how fun driving an electric vehicle can be. This will be my third Ford over the past 10 years and they’ve really done a great job with styling on key models like the Explorer and now the Mach E. It’s great that it doesn’t look like everything else on the road. Have a Model Y on order but kept delaying due to quality issues and COVID.

Love:
Solid range
Great performance (on paper)
Ideal blend of features, ergonomics, styling (no door handles!) and price
Technology - Sync 4 looks amazing

Wishes:
Cooled seats (Great here in Florida)
Dimming side mirrors
Heated rear seats (kids are sissies when temps drop below 70)

Lots of people are mentioning cooled seats. I didn’t realize people liked that feature so much. I’ve experienced it on a Jaguar and found it useless, barely perceptible. I guess other manufacturers have been doing a better job.

It’s the best looking EV suv IMO and beats out Tesla MY by looks and the availability of servicing by having Ford deals everywhere.
