Tesla MYP right now at $69990, is $6k cheaper than GTPE with this pricing, if Tesla qualifies for the $7500, it's a no brainer to do a Tesla over a Mach E, specially when you can get higher top speed and no performance limit.
I guess if my house and office were at opposite ends of a drag strip, the above might matter to me. But in real world daily driving, I'll take the Android Auto, seconds line of sight display, additional physical buttons and rattle free ride. Did I mention Android Auto ?

Rising component costs don't just hit Ford and Tesla. It affects every EV manufacturer. I expect ID4 price increases to come very shortly. Speaking of which, I'll be placing my ID4 order tomorrow to lock in prices before the increase.
I would recommend contacting your VW dealer of choice regarding mark ups and add ons for orders. And switch dealers if necessary.

Quad motor R1S is also $91k!
No it's not... I have one ordered for $79k... And it's not the base. It's the adventure model with upgraded paint.and some options.

Load up any of the cars you mentioned and they’re tens of thousands more. The price difference is still significant.
They Lyriq comes fully equipped for that price.

So does the Rivian.

At this point you just seem determined to not believe facts.

That's interesting, I totally thought people were using price protection that got pushed from a '21 to a '22.
I did.

2021 became 2022.

2022 then went up $2,000 3 months later.

Got BOTH.

Yeah, definitely not upgrading now. Any ideas as to if these cars even qualify for the proposed new EV tax credit?
I do not believe that the MME will qualify for the new EV tax credit. The critical minerals value component ($3750) will be difficult for any car to qualify under at least in the later years once the % rises above 50%. The battery portion will not as the current battery cells are sourced from outside the USA. I suspect that Ford will shift to US produced cells asap to capture this credit but probably not for the 2023 model year.

Im sorry but just to make sure that i understood properly: are you saying that those options are not available anymore on the select model or that you have to pay extra to have them? I ordered the select model with the comfort package and they were included
For the 2023 select model, it looks like they incorporated parts of the tech and comfort package as the "base" model. It also looks like they left out a lot of the "comfort" parts. There also doesn't seem to be any upgrade packages.

You got your R1S BEFORE the price increase. The quad motor is around $90k now.

And what people are actually paying for the R1T right now? Lol pricing.

I could quote what I paid for my 2021 GTPE (x plan and $7500 credit)
But it wouldn’t matter to this 2023 price increase debate.

Look at what JD power says the average R1T price is…. $127,163!!https://www.jdpower.com/cars/2022/rivian/r1t/launch-edition-awd

Google seems to disagree with your R1S pricing : “From $90,000.”

They had a $12,000 price increase back in March 2022 and must have raised it more since then.

I will believe “facts,” you just have to post some first. ?

I think the fact that we are seeing such a gulf between the price of the standard battery and the extended range may indicate that they are swapping the chemistry to LFP for standard range immediately. Just like they said they were going to.do it in model year 2024, but it might not be a phase in process, just a hard line.
No. I think it is to force more SR sales. For every 3 ER cars they can make 4 SR. So the price probably covers a portion of the 4th cars lost margin and a little profit to boot.

Thinking more, I can’t believe the Lyriq and R1T even came into the pricing debate.

If you want to order a 2023 BEV TODAY, here is what you’ll pay:

2023 Mach E GT- $62,395 after Tax credit
2023 R1S- $90,000 no credit
2023 Lyriq- you can’t. They’re sold out

It really doesn’t seem like the Lyriq and R1S offer much competition at the moment when it comes to price. If anything, this says the Lyriq was priced too low, but you can’t order one now anyways so it won’t affect us.

- Your quotes price of $127k includes people buying them second hand. Rivian does not sell nay vehicles for that price.

- The price increase in March 2022 is for new orders. Sure... You can choose to focus on that price, or you can do the rational thing and focus on the prices most people are really paying, which is the price I posted.

Rivian is still working on fulfilling orders from 3 years ago. Although some people have paid the new price, the vast majority of sales over the next year will be at the old price... Which I accurately quoted.

It will be interesting to see how this affects the wait times. With the new pricing I am betting it will stop a lot of the people flipping their one year old MME for another one and will also probably lower demand from new customers as well. With those people out of them market, I bet the wait time for an ordered MME will go down dramatically.

Looks like Chevy will be giving customers bonuses if they hold onto the high level Vettes for a year as one way to stop flipping

At this point, Chevy blazer RS seems more bang for buck.
