As other EVs (continue to ) go up in price the MME increase will be considered normal. As inflation is up 9.1% (year-over-year) a 10% increase from MY2021 to MY2023 does not seem out of line. (I know, model dependent)
I'm not sure which model comparison you're looking at but most are well above 10%.

My '21 Premium RWD Ext. Range was $52000 MSRP ($47k + $5k ext. battery). A '23 is $63,575 ($54975 + $8600 ext. battery). That's a 22% increase for a car with less features. Tack on a big question mark if the '23 will qualify for the FTC and you're looking at 43% price increase to the consumer at the end of the day. That's significant.

Since I only care about extended range AWD I made this chart including freight

$64,875 --- California Route 1 eAWD
$67,575 --- Premium eAWD
$71,195 --- GT eAWD
$77,195 --- GT Performance eAWD

California Route 1 still in my opinion is the most bang for your buck.

If going Premium might as well pay $3620 more for GT
I am glad I have signed order for Premium Ext AWD for 56900 - scheduled to build in Sep (then get the tax benefit)

got sick of seeing Teslas as main stream electric cars

I edited my post to indicate a MY2022 (pre-Dec Price hike). I am specifically comparing a GTPE.
Based on info from OP (including destination charge)
MY2022 RWD Ext Range : $56,200
MY2023 RWD Ext Range : $64,875
Total increase $8,675 or 15.4%

Do I trust ordering on the dealer's website, or should I just wait until Tuesday and order on Ford.com just to make sure I've got all the tracking, financing and what not, linked to my Ford account (and while this seems to be one of the "good" dealers that doesn't charge markup or anything, I might potentially avoid some of those hassles too).

I believe PPI (Producer Price Index) was up 9.8% from Jul 2021 to Jul 2022. I think we can all agree that EV components (specifically battery components) were up WAY more than that.
IMO the price hikes Ford has announced are more in-line with the current market conditions.

Any news about the Mach-e Canadian configurations? No heated seats available for the Select model (even with a package) is very strange since we have a very cold winter.
Considering their recommendation for winter range loss is to use the heated seats, I'd expect to have them standard on all trims. Higher trims should have heated rear seats (kids like to be warm in the winter too). I know they need to differentiate trim levels and cut pennies here and there, but this really seems like an essential for an EV in winter (I know the warm climate folks will disagree and want their savings).

The tax credit is just too massive of an amount for most people so yeah, if a car didn't have it vs. one that did, it's just not possible to make any math look as good now. There's no positive way to look at it and why before this new tax law, folks were starting to capitulate and just pay that $3-5k ADM knowing they lock it in and get a car now vs. an unknown price increase, known at least $3750 drop in tax credit, etc in early 2023.

The new tax law just made it a lot worst for a lot of EV makers not named Toyota (irrelevant in EVs), Tesla, GM, Ford (debatable if MME even qualifies with new law with that components piece).

Battery component prices have definitely gone up so it's not surprising that the extended range ones are marked up more percentage wise.

EV/Ioniq 5 and Mach-E are hard to compare because their feature sets don't overlap exactly. And even the top trim of the EV6/Ioniq 5 still have poor audio IMO. That's why I started looking at the Genesis GV60 and asked my Hyundai dealer to move my deposit to one. FYI I test drove all Ioniq 5 and EV6 trims and even declined delivery on a Ioniq 5 Limited AWD (with very small markup) back in Jan 2022 because of an underwhelming test drive.

We know the Mach-E ER has more range due to the 99 kWh battery that's confirmed by Consumer Reports in a controlled drive (all EVs drove at the same time). Also the RWD trims of the EV6 and Ioniq 5 are sloooooow. Like 7+ seconds for 0 to 60 and feels like an peppy ICE hatchback and not a true EV.

The big positive of the Korean twins is 800V charging, V2L, and the few things you mentioned - HUD and ventilated seats.
See i actually thought the Korean cars drove better and loved the regen paddles over the Mach E's touchy brake and not smooth hand off to the friction brakes.

Yeah big battery Mach E is more but price wise non-comparable now, the Korean cars are just better value, especially with 800v being more of an advantage thread the range, plus a heatpump in winter. I was still gonna go with a Mach E because I didn't like the Ioniq interior design and was concerned about the EV6's smaller cargo and headroom (the glass roof and charger routing are great too). But that was really a decision of design preference, comparing specs the Korean cars are clear winners.

The EV6 handles better but the Ioniq 5 is a floaty sedan (not my cup of tea). I do love the regen paddles and wish all EVs would have them - I'm looking at you German EVs who don't believe in one-pedal driving at all... (i.e BMW, VW, Porsche, Audi, MINI). I'm a huge fan of Hyundai/Kia HDA and safety systems since they worked so well in my Telluride. Of course BlueCruise is amazing too.

As for the touchy brake and poor brake blending... that was an issue in 2021 and maybe early 2022 but the newest MMEs with the latest OTA have smoother almost Tesla-like regen braking.

Agree with the EV6 smaller headroom and cargo space. I don't mind because I was looking for a hothatch when I test drove it. It's less useful as a family crossover though. Funny how I ended up with a MINI electric (which is way more fun than the Mach-E and both Korean twins) as a commuter.

One thing I like about the MME - and it's a small thing you don't realize is awesome - is the charge port is in the front. I've owned a few too many EVs + PHEVs and most have a rear charge port. Backing into a stall at a busy parking lot is annoying with EVs with poor turning radii like the Model Y or Ioniq 5.

I emailed a dumb dealer because their inventory showed they had some 22s available on the lot. They didn’t, but they emailed me back saying they could order a 23 for me, at 10% over MSRP. I sent them a reply with 3 lines of lols.

What's sad is they probably are glad you aren't bothering them anymore and someone else will pay that ADM. Sadly, we may feel smug to tell them off, but having been in sales before, salespeople simply don't care about people who don't want to overpay or feed them and rather not waste their own time dealing with folks (why I left).

Look like I will probably hold off until the tax credit thing is more clear. It's for my mom to replace her 10 years old minivan anyway so we are not in a hurry. She is also open to the Lyriq since it probably get full tax credit? But look like the Lyriq's order for 2023 is full and they are already taking order for 2024.
