My mach-e was in batch 8503 and was built on 10/04 and shipped by rail on 10/06 headed for Florida. I went to the dealer yesterday and he printed out the status which showed it had arrived in Laredo on 10/12 and the rail car is AOK 502673. I called CSX tracking services today and they didn't have any update for location ("no status available").

The sales manager also accepted my X-Plan PIN and printed out (and signed) a Purchase Agreement confirming the X-Plan price, incentive protection interest rate (2.49% up to 72 mo.) from Jan. and no ADM which I was very happy to see considering some of the horror stories I have read recently about dealer mark-ups. I also filled in the Ford credit app (on paper) and provided transfer plate ID, insurance info, and drivers license so I will be able to get out the door quickly once it arrives. He's not going to run the credit until its a couple of days out from delivery. The dealer has been great since day 1 - no complaints.

I got shipped email over night as well. I'm assuming since you are closer to KC, you get your car delivered faster? Also, i was browsing 10/10 build thread and it seems an order from their group got built and shipped same as mine and we are both in GA. So I wonder if Ford builds cars based on destination?

It should have shipped by now .. have you checked with Ford chat? Sometimes the status doesn't update for some reason ..

I was thinking of doing the Ford Options lease, since I'm not sure how resale value will hold up on these in 3 or 4 years ... need to see the detailed numbers tho ..

If my dealer cooperates and I can get a rate like that, then I'm definitely financing through Ford... They seemed skeptical of Ford Options when I asked months ago. I don't think they'll be very incentivized to try hard on it. I think I only have a $500 credit on it in my state, so I don't even know if it would be the best option for me anyway.

Ford options is same and regular financing purchase except with a balloon payment at the end. So no penalty for prepay or early payoff. Some people get options to get $ discount (1-2.5K depending on state and time) and just payoff the loan or refinance with someone else.

My plan sees ownership of over a decade at a minimum. The only vehicle we have had that will be shorter lived is out 12 Explorer.

Get a note that will be easiest to pay off sooner and then drive the car until it nears the end of it practical service life.

Yea at this market, 2.49% is no brainer. I'm not expecting much on ford options but doesn't hurt to ask lol.

well, my sales person just responded that 2.49% would most likely be better than ford options and we will discuss it when the car comes. What he said would probably be true but i guess i'll find out for sure when the car comes.
