Sweet! I got an interest rate "Black Friday" deal at 2.9 for 72. I'll be trading the 2 week old 22 in on the 23 in about 2 weeks.
Do you mind me asking who with?

Cars still “in production” since 11/7….
Same here. Rapid Red Premium Nite Pony AWD ER, 9217 303/1419, Morgan Hill, CA
Ford Chat has consistently told me (since 11/8) that the ETA to the dealer is between Dec 8 and 10. As far as I can tell, the car is still at the assembly plant.

Only 2 days since my last check in. Thought I might get lucky and see movement, but the MME is currently still in Argentine, KS and I think the chat says Ramp 6 or something (I accidentally closed it). Mine is headed to Walnut Creek: 9217 957/1419.

Any other Bay Area folks with updates?

i asked WC Ford for a new railcar number yesterday and they didn't have it. so my car might be sitting as well.

still say 12/11 as a delivery date. but this threatened rail strike could end that pretty quick.

Chat did say delivery is still 12/7-12/13. On Monday they said 12/13 (without the early range). They also did tell me to contact my dealer for more detailed info (??). FWIW I will text the dealer today.

Mustang Mache 2022 SR RWD ordered

Hello all, brand new here, and I have a whopper of an update.

I tried to take delivery of one of the first 2023 Mach E's today, and I'm going to copy/paste my experience from the reddit post I made about this:

Frustrating experience attempting to pick up my 2023 Mach E Select AWD from the Ford dealer.

Originally ordered a 2022 Mach E Select AWD with Comfort/Tech package on March 25th, 2022. Had to update the order to a 2023 Mach E Select, no packages, on August 30th, 2022.

Vehicle arrived at dealer this morning, I went to pick it up later the same day. Everything is as expected, going well, then we get to the financing. The finance guy sees I have the elgigible price lock and the code to activate it on the order, but he had me watch him plug in all the numbers and showed me error after error after error.

What I want: 3/25/22 interest rate, -$3,000 for the price lock.

What I got: error, order date 3/25 is before protection guarantee. Error, order date 8/26 (where that date came from, I have no idea, likely when Ford X'd my 2022 in the system to prepare for it to convert to a 2023) is before protection guarantee.

Even the -$3,000 had a validity date of 8/29/22 to 1/3/23! It's pretty much all F'd. He asked if I wanted to move forward without it, I said absolutely not, but you're not gonna sell my car to someone else tomorrow right? He promised me they don't do that.

Anyone else in a similar predicament? I may be one of the first attempting to take delivery of a 2023 converted from a 2022 order, so hopefully this serves as a warning to those looking to do the same and allows you time to battle out the phony dates with Ford.

Game plan is to call the new car order sales manager when he gets in tomorrow at noon to make sure he gets this straightened out with Ford. It's all about the dates on the price protection offer and the dates in Smart Vincent, if they don't jive, the dealer runs into red error messages and cannot move forward.

Attached pics of my actual car at the dealer along with the email you all should have received from Ford if yours was a 2022 order turned into a 2023.

So Dealer/System is good with price protection $3000 less, its the interest rate that's an issue? So if you decide to move ahead you will have $3000 deducted but the interest rate will he higher right ? Just trying to understand if price protection (private offer thing) works.

This morning, I got an email from Ford asking me to complete my order.

My order status is now saying:

Welcome
Your 2023 Mache Premium is in final preparation with MY FORD DEALER'S NAME!

Dealer will contact you soon
The dealership is making the final preparation for your new vehicle, they will be reaching out to you soon to set up your delivery!

My expected delivery was mid Dec. I'm calling my dealer now to confirm.
I just spoke with my Ford dealer. They confirmed it left Missouri on a truck yesterday heading up to where I'm at in northern Illinois.

That must have been what triggered my order to move to "Final Preparation" and the email -- I no longer see an estimated delivery date.

Instead now it lets me do all the purchasing online if I wanted to but since I want to pay cash for some, finance the rest, that option isn't available on Ford.com

Since I do not see private order, xplan, I assume this was a new order and not a rollover and 4.49 was the rate in Aug ?

Dealer got back to me, said they have it all squared away and ready for me to come pick it up.

Price protection - the Ford Private Offer will knock the price down on the 2023 converted order to the appropriate 2022 price, for me, that was -$3,000 to go from '23 select price to '22 select price.

Interest rate/financing - the financing going back to original order date applies to a 2022 model year, but if you have a 2023, it will only allow an interest rate going back as far as August, best rate through Ford is 4.49%, any dealer offering 2.9% on a 2023 is likely going to go back on their word because I haven't seen anyone successfully pull that off. 2022 model? Maybe. 2023? No chance. Nobody's giving 2.9% on a brand new 2023.

That is great!! I wonder if mine's on the same truck as I'm North of Chicago. I doubt it as I did not get an email or a change in status.

That’s correct order placed on 8/30 for a new order and the rate on 9/2. Dealer didn’t accept the order till 9/2 so they can only honour that rate. I called ford and they said that’s between the dealer and I and nothing they can do on their end and that the order was accepted on 9/2 on their end but my order placed on 8/30

Well do let us know when it finally arrives at the dealer. This give me some hope that things are moving along, even though mine still seems to be stuck in MO for the last few days.
