Regardless of rail or convoy they are all railroad yards.

ah ok, i think i understand. there are lots where ford stores a whole bunch of cars. some of those lots are at railyards (like richmond, ca) and others are not near a rail depot so they have to take them there by convoy. i assume this means there's no place to store the cars at the rail depot where they are unloaded, so they have to be ready to haul them off by convoy to the lot as the trains are unloaded.

then i guess some other company picks up particular cars from those lots and takes them to their ordering dealership.

My dealer (in the central coast, CA) did tell me their vehicles go to Richmond, CA and they always seem to be stuck there for about 2 weeks. He said they used to be able to just pick up the vehicles there themselves if the customer wanted it sooner but Ford no longer allows that.

Just contacted from my dealer in Western WI. Car is confirmed in Texas, with an ETA of the 18th to the 24th December.

Does anyone else have their VIN loaded into Fordpass? When opening Fordpass it appears something wants to load, and then a message pop up covers the entire screen saying activation not possible until after delivery.

I thought I read that early Mach E owners were able to actually see a map with a PIN location every time the car was started up and moved on the rail. Now it seems like they have locked this down. However those background pop ups seem to be more frequent. Maybe it's people starting and moving the cars, maybe it's something else.

I added my MME to Fordpass (since I have it for my Expedition already), but haven't bothered to try to activate it. Have seen previous reporting on map locations for one-off activations that somehow went through "because someone on the other end pushed a button" (paraphrase), but assume this was more fluke than anything.

I incorrectly assumed our cars were going to ship via railrailroad as close as possible to us and only get on a truck for the final leg. Last Friday my car was at a train station 2.5 hours south of me in TX and is now 12 hours north of me just outside Kansas City, MO

Where are you seeing it hasn't shipped? FYI that ordertrack.app is shutting down because they cannot no longer gather new data.

Have you checked with Ford Chat?

If really waiting, its possible they're gathering orders for the same region to ship at once.

I called ford. I have not used for chat. How do you use it. I thought when I called them they would have the latest info.

The contact us page on ford.com has a chat button. If it doesnt show (and its regular business hours) try a different browser. I've had success with Google Chrome.

Give them your VIN and order number and they will usually give you the latest info. That is how most people get their rail car numbers for example.

Just popping over from the 11/28 thread to commiserate. My car is destined fro Morgan Hill Ford, and has been sitting in the "Built" state for a week now, with no ETA when it will actually ship.
Seems like a few of us in the Bay Area are stuck with slow (or no) shipping progress.

Take a look at the 9/19 build week thread, I have a summary of the process to get to texas. If you are super lucky you might still get it by the end of the year but I wouldnt count on it
