"OK, Google. Ask FordPass to start the car"

Telling my google home / nest speakers to start my car is probably my favorite (and new to me) FordPass feature. Is anyone else using this? I didn't see a post about it on this forum so I though that I'd share. ?

I find that this so much easier than trying to fumble around with the app on my phone when I'm preparing to leave the house.

It was pretty easy to set up too. Simply say, "OK, Google. Ask FordPass to start the car" (from your phone the first time) to get started.

I found the setup video

Oh, did they add official support for Google Home? That seems new.

"Hey Siri, start my car" is what I use (programmed via Shortcuts). Or "Go Home" which will warm up my car and my house from setback.
Yeah, I thought it was only Facebook messenger or the Alexa skill. I wonder if this will drain the battery.

hmmm... it appears so. I don't know if this functionality was recently extended to the Mach-E but the Youtube video posted above was published 2 years ago. ?‍♂

Huh, did we all collectively miss that? Has anybody else been using Google integration this whole time?

I've been using it (Alexa) and it/she works for me. Better and quicker than the unreliable Ford Pass.

I set up a routine in Alexa so I just say Alexa start the car, and that triggers the routine to say internally: Alexa tell Ford Pass to start my car using pin# XXXX

Does it start under your profile or default to guest? If I use the FP app I'm in guest mode, so I pretty much don't bother remote starting.

Been using Siri to do all three functions in Ford Pass plus several others (check battery charge, range, tire pressure, etc) for at least two years. I've never used Homebridge. Just setup shortcuts in my phone to automate Ford Pass actions. There are several threads on doing this with Apple and Android devices. I use my watch daily to lock the car and start it a few minutes before driving it. I also do this with my ICE Mustang.

I have been using Google Home for close to 2 years from info I found here on the forum. You imbed the 4 digit code. "Mach-E" is not reliable, I changed it to "Mustang".

I just linked mine. Very cool didn't know about this. Except in Google messes up thinks I'm want call my salesman from Ford because I have him on my contacts as Ford And other time it thinks I say Paz because of another guy on my contacts. I have to spell out the"..p a s s app..."(add the "app")

I think just opening the app or saying open app and hitting the start button is just the same of not quicker.
