Here's the list of available updates:

You may want to tell them you're having problems with your phone not connecting properly and PAAK not being consistent. Also your driver's seat and mirrors don't always adjust to the positions they're supposed to for the profile you're using, or the keyfob you're carrying at the time. Ask them to see if they are seeing DTCs for the gearshifter and if so they can update that module. I'm sure you iPhone is getting very warm and not charging properly as well. Good luck with the recall and service.
Awesome, thanks, Mike!!

Can someone check in on 3FMTK3SU1MMA10799 please.

Since I got 4.2.6, it's been erroring out with a red ring on L2 charging at 48a. Had to clock it down to 32A to get it to charge.

Also, if you can let me know what else the car is missing, going to see what they can update along with the red ring and the 20,000 check up.

Have an appointment to get it in on Thursday am.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike G!

Any recent error codes from the red ring on charging level?

I can't see DTCs with FDRS unless connected to the car directly.

In Norway and across Europe, OTA (Over-the-Air) updates have been stalled for about a year for first-generation vehicles that are stuck on version 2.7.4. Ford dealers are puzzled as to why this is happening, and rumors are swirling on various forums. The speculation involves issues with the 'phone home' feature or insufficient 12v battery charge levels. It would be nice to figure this out. Is it possible to check which updates are available for my car? VIN: WF0TK1E71MMA11767

And I agree, it would be nice to figure out why EU/UK cars aren't getting as many updates as NA cars.

The 12V battery low state of charge thing is a known problem, and that's why I have my car's schedule set to check for updates in the mornings after I've driven for 15-20 minutes to get the 12V battery charged back up while driving. It also helps that by that time I'm probably driving in an area with at least three bars of cell coverage for the TCU to be able to contact Ford and get any downloads I may have pending. You can always reset your 12V battery management learned levels to make sure your 12V battery is getting fully recharged and you should probably do it monthly anyway.

Here's how to do that:
Before leaving for your drive, get in and push the start button without putting your foot on the brake. This puts you in accessory mode. Then flash the high beams 5 times, and then tap the brake pedal 3 times and look for the battery symbol on the instrument panel to cycle about 3 times. After it does, press the start button again to shut the car off. Then start the car as normal and drive off and your 12V battery will get topped off properly.

Thank you very much.
I had the car serviced and updated around the same time you checked. The mechanic told me that he had performed many updates on the car, including wireless phone charging, and he noticed that the locks did not respond on the first press on the door. The car was also updated with a remote-controlled frunk opening feature. These updates were likely done at the same time as you were checking for me.

I showed your list and asked if there could be a connection between the Gateway module update and the OTA not working/stopping on the 1.Job cars. He explained that it's the Sync update via OTA that triggers updates, and when there are none available (none after 2.7.4, he said), no updates are made to the car.

He said the car is well-updated now. Following your advice, I reset the 12v battery when I got into the car, took a drive, and then connected it to the home WiFi. The car performed splendidly on the trip. It will be interesting to see if OTA updates come through without problems in the future. It's hard to know whether future updates will need to be done through OTA or at the Ford dealer

Would appreciate a pre-delivery check on my VIN 3FMTK3SU8PMA28074 if possible. Hopefully I'm in the last few days before delivery.

Thanks!
i was quite optimistic a month ago that i'd have delivery by now but i just heard that it is being held at the railyard for some reason - coming up on a month sitting there.

if one of you kind folks could look up the current status again to see if anything has changed on the car i'd really appreciate it. VIN 3FMTK3SU8PMA28074
