It's about damn time!

If you have a '23 and you had a SSN failure DM me. This is the failure where the car will not start, not Service Vehicle Soon. I'll be more than happy to get your story to the right person. They can determine if it will be expanded to the '23 model year.
The man that makes thing happen ;) what's your charge out rates; when it comes to L2 charging.

Pretty sad they need to be pushed so hard to do the right thing.

All I know is I intend to wait as long as possible just in case any ā€œimprovedā€ part shows up in the next several months. Most likely not or as others have stated they would recall every model and not the pre May 22 builds only. This was not something I was worried about but I am glad Ford is finally doing it as a recall.
Kick back and watch. Not like you need to be in any rush. You can go for the record of longest original. ;)

I agree. I also believe this is due to the NHTSA investigations into the several reports MME owners took the time report and spent the time responding to follow up questions about their failures.

I do hope Ford was able to use my data to confirm the new parts are up to the task. I do believe they are still working on or verifying testing because a couple days ago I actually saw a Ford F150 Lightning testing vehicle with Ford manufacture plates on it on the same road I use to go out on my back roads loop. I can’t believe that was a coincidence.
They will gain no data from that? Foot to accelerator missing need the nuts ?

Mine says remedy not yet available but based on not all MME you would think it can not be brand new hardware? I was just replace July this year? 2x loser here but shows up as a recall here as well. Thought this third one should be the charm. Or is it the third time replaced that is?

Timely. My MME (Premium ER) is at the dealership right now having the HVBJB replaced. It failed on Saturday. I should be picking it back up today.
How long does the fix take to do? I assume they need to completely discharge the battery to do it the work?

Wondering if this recall will affect the timeline of them releasing an OTA update for GTs power limit.

Fix the hardware then give us more power…..

So I have a 2023 Premium SR rear drive.

I guess I'm supposedly safe from this failure ?

Ever since I joined the forum and starting reading, it is in the back of my mind.

I checked and I don't have any recalls.
I think the jury is still out on this one. There definitely have been people with 2023s who have had the failure, though anecdotally it seems to be more likely to happen on AWD vehicles.

I'm a bit surprised that the recall doesn't include SR AWD versions - I thought the extra current required for the front motor was a large contributor to the failure.

I honestly have no idea. I dropped the car off on Sunday when the dealership was closed. The EV tech called me yesterday. I assume it was the EV tech because he said "he" would have to do a series of reprogramming the vehicle as part of the repair process. He sounded confident he could finish the work today. I told him to hurry but not to rush ? .

My girlfriend loaned me her new 2023 Maverick Hybrid (dealership had zero loaners, BEV nor ICE). It's a nice little vehicle but it's no Mach-E. I'm already getting separation anxiety ?

Interesting observation. Yesterday afternoon I saw a Mach E with Michigan manufacturer plates leaving an EA station in Lovelock, Nevada. The first thing I noticed was a Pitot tube type device attached to the right, rear quarter panel.
How else would you get TAS? ?

I'm never been apart of a recall like this where I've had the part replaced that's listed under the recall. I would imagine Ford would find a way to filter those of us out, but who knows.
I have, kind of. My pano roof was damaged during transit and the dealer arranged replacement of it with a body shop they worked with that had experience replacing Tesla roofs. Was all taken care of before delivery.

Once the windshield and pano reseal recalls came out, my car initially showed both were incomplete. Eventually, the pano one disappeared, but both showed for at least a few months before it was updated.

SR battery has a much lower maximum output current, even with AWD.

The battery does not need to be discharged. I seem to recall the flat rate time was reported as 4-6 hours.

No, they will not discharge the battery, they may want it below some threshold when you take it in. It will have to be dropped out and opened up, likely takes 2 days.

Your GTPE is a ā€˜21 on its original HVBJB?
Correct. Died on Friday the 13th, hoping to have the car back by this Friday but we'll see when the part arrives.

I almost never DCFC, but there are a lot of WOT events haha

Looks like the recall is based on assembly plant and year built. How do you tell what plant built your MME?
