Apparently there were more than 7000 orders on the 29th. I ordered first thing in the morning and the confirmation arrived at 6:18 AM.

Order #FAE:90001439
Est. ship by April 2024
Order Placed: 2/29/2024
There were probably tens of thousands of orders that first day. I ordered at 8am PST and my order is 9446.

Hi All,

I have tried numerous times to register with Ford (per Ford) to receive the Tesla adapter. Yet every time I try, either online or through the app, I either get sent to a generic connected services page, or to a new terms and agreement page where I accept, but it just returns to the same page. I called Ford and they said they were having issues with their software and to keep trying. This has been going on for several weeks. Yet I see lots of you are already receiving the adapter.

Am I doing something wrong or missing some steps? Would appreciate any help.

Many Thanks!

Mark W.

What does your Ford account home page look like after you log in? Do you see your car and your VIN displayed? Can you post a screen shot? (You should mark out your VIN to be safe before posting the image.)

Do you have plug and charge working for you at EA?

Haven't heard of anyone getting a shipment email in some days. Was hoping we'd see reports at a steady pace. Not sure if it's just no one reporting or the first batch went out all at once and the next batch may not be for a while. Probably the latter.

We leave in 3 weeks for a 6000 mile trip. Hoping my estimated May delivery shows up before we leave but probably a coin-flip at this point. Thought maybe they were ahead of schedule when a bunch came on the 5th, but pretty much silence since.

The good folks on the Rivian forum are saying they expect their early deliveries to start this or next week. They are prioritizing based on who took delivery of their vehicle first. And it’s free for them too.

It’s not just us anymore.

1300-ish order here. No email and nothing showing in my FedEx account. Seems like there is a wait after the first batch.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have plug and charge working at EA. And yes,
when I sign in it comes up with a robust Hello Mark and Mary, description of the car, and the vin. Above it in red is this:
Now Ford EV owners can use upgraded Tesla Superchargers, too. Reserve your complimentary Fast Charging Adapter today.

When I click on it, it takes me to a page that has all the available connected services—Alexa, BlurOval, Nav, Blue Cruise. When I click on “manage” in the BlueOval Charge Network, it goes to another page that tells me I’m active, what the key features are, my credit card info, and “Check out our how-to info.” When I click on that, I get “How do I pay for public charging for my Ford Electric Vehicle?” That, ironically, includes “To pay for a charge session automatically at BlueOval™* Charge Network or Tesla Supercharger stations, leave Plug & Charge enabled in FordPass®**.”

Last, on the app under Blue Oval Charge network, then plug and charge, there are green checkmarks next to EA AND Tesla!

But nowhere do I see how to reserve.

???
Thanks!

I'm #1922. Not looking promising.
the same people putting adapters in boxes and shipped out are the same folks getting the 6.14.0 and BC1.4 updates individually packaged and dropped into the tubes for the interwebs to get to all of our cars.

they're very tired is what i'm saying...

My order is 1091, no shipping info at all, just crickets. Seems they have shipped less than 1k so far.

Now there’s an idea - prioritizing, instead of everyone crashing the website at once because “first come, first served,” if you happened to hear a rumor from a forum before sunrise.

So, now, early Rivian buyers will get Tesla charge adapters ahead of early MachE buyers who got their cars way before the Rivian owners even though Ford jumped on the Tesla charge network well before Rivian did. But, hey, don’t get me wrong, I would never complain because, ….. it’s FREE, it’s FREE!

That's what I said back in February about how I thought Ford should have done it - by VIN# or sales date. Reward the owners that have been "suffering" the longest, and avoid the rush to slam the website like it was a Taylor Swift ticket sale. Just give people 2 weeks or something to leisurely go in and confirm they actually wanted one along with their current shipping address. So simple. Instead we ended up with a blind announcement at 5am PT that left half the country in the dark (literally).

Yeah, it's free, which is great. Kudos to Ford (and Rivian, and probably all the rest on the list to come), but that doesn't excuse needlessly poor choices on how to distribute them. There was a far more fair and obvious way to do it that also wouldn't have brought down the website.

GM, I was about to ask if anyone has gotten any emails on the Ford adapter shipping out after the intial bulk batch.. I belive we wont see anyone getting a Ford Adapter till May when the second bulk batch ships out. Hopefully in order Ford received the orders and not randomly.

I am stated for May (fingers crossed) as others who had higher order numbers received there adapters in April.
